I would like to thank to Belfast dog show society for inviting me to judge the standard smooth haired Dachshunds and for the sporting exhibitors who arrived in cold weather conditions to give me a fabulous entry both in quality and quantity. The show ran like clockwork and there was a great atmosphere. 

Puppy Dog or Bitch
1st: ANDISON & PEEL’s  Clentry Crunchy Carrot. 7 months old healthy expressive girl, lovely hind and length ratio, perfect front assembly and enough ribcage, straight top line, hind could’ve been better.

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch

1st: ANDISON & PEEL’s Cedavoch Drizzle of Rain. 19 months old red boy with nice head and lovely long neck, excellent mover with perfect straight top line, perfect height and length ratio. Slightly long in legs.

 

2nd: CUNNINGHAM’s Hacienda Off My Facebook into Celandine (Imp Mal) 3 years old black and tan girl with decent feminine head and expression, nice long ribcage, slightly unsettled in the ring, required more practice.

1st :REYNOLDS,S  Ir Ch Cwmdarhian San Domenico at Glenariff. Beautiful 2 and half year-old red dog with perfect height and length ratio, lovely masculine head with almond shaped eyes. Good long ribcage with perfect front and hind angulation, elegant and fast mover. Front assembly could’ve been better, Best dog.

1st: LAPPIN’s Cedavoch Storm Quest. 15months old lovely, shaded red with perfect feminine head, decent front and hind angulation, long rib cage with lovely tail set, quite a shy female in nature.

Veteran Dog or Bitch

1st :CUNNINGHAM’s  Ir Ch Sontag Say the Word for Celandine. Excellent specimens of the breed, Decent shape at this age, one of  the ambassadors of the top kennel. Lovely head with sparkling eyes with perfect front and hind angulation, well placed tail walking effortlessly in the ring, prefer her top line while moving around the rind compared to winner dog. Best bitch and BOB.
