Thank you to the Hound Association for my invite to Judge Standard Smooth Dachshunds at Stafford and the warm welcome I received.  Well, the weather was super, and I had a lovely entry. I have to say that since my last time of judging the variety – the temperaments have improved greatly. My only comment would be that the majority of exhibitors need to watch tartar on canines – it doesn’t take much to remove it… and check the length of nails. I was thrilled with my CC and RCC winners and pleased that my BOB was

1^st Cwmdarhian Super Mario – Mr C Moes and Mrs R Williams . Clear red dog – superb condition with good length of rib and correct loin. Good head and eye – super angulation – moved with purpose. BP considered for RCC

2^nd Cwmdarhian Gordon Ramsey naf taf – Mrs C Mills-Jones, Mrs R Williams, Mr C Moes.  Similar comments apply to this lad – rather fidgety today – but I am sure they will regularly swop places – lovely brothers.

1^st Cedavoch Ocean Storm – Miss A Binks and Miss L McNaughton . Shaded red dog, lovely ‘hammy’ hocks. Super length of rib and masculine head and expression – won this class on movement – excellent.

2^nd Cedavoch Drizzle of Rain – Ms k and Mr J Andison. Clear red, good head and eye, good length of neck flowing into correct shoulders. Nice rib and rear angulation just not quite the movement of 1 today.

1^ST Adnerbs Sheer Nanagins AY1 – Mrs M Hinwood. B/T dog of a finer type than 2. Nice masculine head and eye. Good shoulders and length of neck. Super rear angulation which allowed good free movement

2^nd Carpaccio Magnum P.I. at Hamoura – Mrs W Starkey. Good had and front. Nice shoulder placement - rather unsettled today which unfortunately did not allow him to move correctly.

1^st Almaznyi Laretz Ershalaim at Devondax – Miss K Jade. B/T with good solid front and keel. Nice shoulders flowing into correct rib. Correct tail set and flowed on the move.

2^nd Daxanory Menacing Dennis – Mrs C Julie & Miss K Heels. Shaded red dog – rather a low keel for my liking – however a lot to like about this boy. Good length of rib, correct loin and nice rear angulation. Good head and eye and moved well.

1^st CH Cwmdarhian Rocket Man – Mr C Moes and Mrs R Williams. Shaded Red dog – WOW....ring presence just oozed from every hair follicle !! Angulation at the rear to die for... ribs just went on and on.... could have watched him move all day -  CC and BOB – and shortlisted for BIS

2^nd CH Raajputs Blacky Returns- Dr M Chuan. B/T of a similar type. Good head and eye – everything in the right place and moved well...gave me a hard decision – lovely dog. RCC

3^rd Bensrka Limerick- Mrs J and Miss L Macdonald.

1^ST Bronia Solar Flare – Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell. Shaded red young lady – nothing not to like on this pup, super conical head with correct eye and ear set. Lovely reach of neck with correct shoulders, good ribbing and rear angulation – moved well. BPIB

2^nd Cwmdarhian The Governess – Mr C Moes and Mrs R Williams. Clear red – longer type than 1 but all in the right place, covered the ground well coming and going – will swop regularly with 1.

3^rd Cwmdarhian The Mistress – Mr b AND Mr P Paterson

1^st Cedavoch Blowing a Gale to Swansford. WOW !....what a beautiful specimen….Red bitch….just beautiful…good conical head with good eye. Lovely reach of neck, good keel not over exaggerated, ribbing, loin etc…. She has got it ALL and more…. A pleasure to award her the RBCC

2^nd Clentry Sweet Melody – Miss J Jennings. Clear red girl, longer than 1 with a larger build. Well built with everything in the right place – just not quite the WOW factor of 1

3^rd Adnerbs Not on your Nellie Gobannium – Mr M and Mrs T Stark.

1^st Amilda Tamora to Tiffwazz – Mrs K Valentine. Lovely B/T girl – judged her as a young pup and she has developed into a very nice bitch. Very feminine head and expression. Good ribbing and rear angulation. Nice tight feet and covered the ground well.

2^nd Almaznyi Laretz Europe at Delekadax. Another nice B/T girl with positive points, head, and neck lovely – nice ribbing just rather fidgety today – perhaps too hot for her.

1^st Marvale Double Dealing with Melriding- Mrs D Melbourne. Lovely bitch – just oozes quality…. what else can I say – a text book bitch. Moved with purpose and covered the ground well. A pleasure to give her the BCC

2^nd Hampdach Alice Springs at Bensrka – Mrs J and Miss L Macdonald. Red girl of similar type to 1. Feminine head and expression – good length all round and moved well…just a shame she met 1 today.

3^rd Adnerb Forever Charned at Raajput.

1^st CH Adnerbs Take a Chance on me at Raajput – Dr M Chauhan. B/T well made bitch. Well-muscled which led to great movement. Nice head and eye and good rear angulation. A worthy champion.

2^nd CH Cwmdarhian Welsh Affair – Mr c Moes and Mrs R Williams. Shaded red bitch similar to 1 – slightly lower in keel but all positive traits that you would expect from this Kennel. Excellent type with good movement.

3^rd Ulybka Fortuny Zlatovlaska at Devondax – Miss K Small.
