My thanks to Leeds for their very kind invitation, and to my two stewards, Ian & Pauline Sidgwick who were more than helpful on the day it was a pleasure to meet them. My overall impression of the breed on the day was that there is a strong quality present and although maybe not the numbers of the miniatures, competition is tough and I thank those exhibitors for entering and accepting the placings with such a friendly approach.
Class 1957 PD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: Mills-Jones, Williams & Moes Cwmdarhian Gordon Ramsey (NAF, TAF) stood alone here but a cracking puppy, clear red with such a strength to him, very masculine lean head with good underjaw, neck of strength to clean well angled shoulder, good strong front & forechest prominent, good length to height ratio, level back line held well with good underline, hindquarters were strong and well angled, a very nice puppy who should go on well. Best Puppy
Class 1958 JD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st Moes & Williams Cwmdarhian Super Mario, aptly named red, classic outline and good balance throughout, excels through his neckline, shoulders & forechest, good bone & sound front with good feet, underline neat and tidy, strong in loin & quarters, moving with reach and drive, was considered in the challenge. 2nd Peel and Andison’s Cedavoch Drizzle Of Rain, red just pipping his brother in this class. Was a bit of a fidget and it was difficult to separate the two but this one had the edge moving today and was more settled but a really nice pair of littermates both with all the desired attributes of the breed. 3rd Binks & McNaughton’s Cedavoch Ocean Storm
PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st Hinwood’s Anerbs Sheer Nanagins (AY1) black/tan and it was a close decision between these two, however preference for the forechest and prosternum of this one and overall balance, moving well enough. 2nd Starkey’s Carpaccio Magnum P.I. @ Hamoura, bl/tan with a lovely backline, masculine in head although just a shade too much stop for me, was unsettled moving but has many good attributes.
Class 1960 LD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st Swanson & Swanson’s Cotherstone Cosmic Claude via Altimarlach smartly turned out bl/tan, is masculine in appearance, lean in head, very good prosternum and lovely in profile, level through his backline and nicely rounded rump, good angulation, moving very well. 2nd Heels Daxanory Menacing Dennis, red with quite a strong head & a shade too much stop for preference, and would prefer more length to neck, good prosternum although tighter elbow would benefit, completely came into his own moving and was very positive fore & aft.
Class 1961 OD (6 Entries) Abs: 1 What a class! A real headache in a nice way. 1st: McNaughton’s Ch Cedavoch Struuann, red and impressive to say the least, stands well over his front and displays such a good outline. Lovely male head without any coarseness, good balance and slight stop, good eye, really good in neck and shoulder placement, clean through his backline, great forechest and good keel length, underline neat, super quarters and strength, felt his proportions were just right and coupled with his movement this clinched this super class. Dog CC 2nd Moes & Williams Ch Cwmdarhian Rocket Man, such a very close decision between this one and the eventual winner, this exhibitor has such quality dogs and this one is no exception. Red with superb outline, again super balanced head & good expression, lovely construction throughout, muscular and in great condition, rear angulation very good, evident on the move showing good parallel driving action and great reach going forward. Such a quality dog, would have liked two main awards but had to be content with Res. CC 3rd Chauhan’s Ch Raajputs Blacky Returns

PB (5 Entries) Abs: 2 1st Paterson’s Cwmdarhian The Mistress very smart bl/tan, loved her balanced head, dark eye & earset, presented a super outline and scored in forechest & nice front with tight elbows, well boned and good feet & nails, kept her outline well on the move, extending and driving well. 2nd Richardson’s Bronia Solar Corona, attractive red with head of good balance, good scissor bite, liked her neck & shoulder placement, keel & ribbing was good & nice level backline & underline, moving well enough but not with the reach or drive of 1. 3rd: Macdonald’s Bensarka Life's Illusions
JB (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st Stark’s Adnerbs Not On Your Nellie Gobannium most attractive red with a really balanced head with slight stop, good eye shape, scissor bite, strong neck to well-constructed front, lovely in profile, kept her back level both stacked & moving, used her quarters well. 2nd Jennings Clentry Sweet Melody, lovely red and a close decision here, so feminine & appealing & is well constructed. Moved very well, just my preference of final outline profile of the winner on the day. Could easily change places. 3rd Morland’s Zoraden Jemima Puddle Duck
Class 1966 PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 2
Class 1967 LB (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st Stark’s Adnerbs Won Vision Of Gobannium JW, very appealing red has a classic head with good eye & expression, strong neck & excellent front assembly, good prosternum, feet well padded, keel of good length & smooth in underline, nicely angled quarters, moving steadily & with purpose. 2nd Twaddle & Grace’s Excellmagic Vanda Vogue at Sasilasy attractive red good balance to her head, had slightly more stop than 1, nicely constructed throughout & appealed for size but not moving as steadily as winner on this occasion. 3rd: Hiwood’s Longmel Special Truffle (AU3)
Class 1968 OB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st Chauhan’s Ch Adnerbs Take A Chance On Me At Raajput impressive bl/tan & a real showgirl, most beautiful head of balance and has real elegance about her. Good length & strength of neck to nicely laid back shoulder with good return, lovely prosternum, well boned, good feet, black short nails, good length to keel, excellent ribbing, nicely rounded rump & good quarters & tail set. Gleaming coat, handled well, set off around the ring with good purpose & driving action, very sound mover. Bitch CC & BOB – pleased to see her short-listed in the Hound Group. 2nd Moes & Williams Ch Cwmdarhian Welsh Affair another super red from this kennel, most lovely head & balance, good eye & expression with scissor bite, lovely length of neck to well placed shoulder, very good prosternum, sound front & rear, length of keel & ribbing very good, back & underline level, strong through her hindquarters, well-muscled, demonstrated good steady movement with driving action, a close decision.
