Welcome to this Mark II edition of the original, prompt, critique that somehow got lost in the ether between my mobile and OD. Not looking to recite the breed standard in each case but rather to explain where I was coming from in reaching my decisions. I appreciate your patience & understanding. The breed is a Category 2 breed & I took a note of the listed points of concern with me. There were no issues. SBD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: RYCROFT, Fantastic Frank at Trisensara; 7m red of quality & promise; long, conical head with uniform taper; well boned, ribbed & angulated with clearance that saw him moving free with gd carriage; naturally, still relatively raw. BSB 2nd: COUPLAND, Retrohound Hermes; 12m b/t; so well ribbed & so secure front & rear; thicker in skull & in build where he will benefit from slimming down as he moves beyond this Puppy stage. MPD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: GASKIN, Hampdach I Am The One And Only At Dovestream; 6m red with a lovely, tapered head; gd keel; gd both in backline & in underline; gd neck & angulation added to an ex carriage; will still lengthen in rib & firm up in front & pastern where was that bit loose, commensurate with his tender age; promising baby. PD (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: MCNAUGHTON, Cedavoch Rohan; 9m b/t; quality pup with a rather classic outline; refined in head through taper but with no loss of strength in muzzle; dark, almond eye; well filled front; ex quarters with some width; well angulated & hence long striding; most promising. 2nd:TAYLOR, Hampdach Cheeky Chappy at Whitewebbs; 6m red; another baby of quality; equally refined in his conical, tapered head; scored in almond eye & highset ear touching cheek; securely constructed & well ribbed back; simply less mature as one would expect; v promising. 3rd: F Frank at T JD (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st:JENNINGS, MARVALES'S MANIFESTO AT JENIVON; 10m b/t who instantly appealed & appeared well suited to the indoor ring as he showed off his clearance & proportions & took it all in with confidence; excells in head & eye; conical with taper; well filled front; gd in croup & tail carriage; short, well marked, coat; moved soundly with stylish head carriage. Dog Challenge Certificate & BPIB 2nd: MCNAUGHTON, Cedavoch Calenhad; 9m litter brother to PD who just needed time to settle but was well worth the wait; oozing quality & style; head unmistakably male yet refined through taper; ex muzzle; correct backline through to a well angulated rear with some width & muscle; makes quite the brace with his sibling & will be interesting to watch them change placings. 3rd:GRAHAM, Marvale Chancellor at Ravold YD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 PAYTON, Hampdach the Trooper; 22m red; ticked so many boxes; conical head with clean taper that gave refinement; well boned & bodied with correct backline & ribbed well back to a strong loin; ex coat; such a sound, muscled rear with width & drive; just a bit proud in front; will quickly be moving up the ranks once out of these age classes 2nd: RYCROFT, Jacksondax Hornet Hurrah; rising 15m b/t half-brother to Fantastic Frank; long, expressive & refined head, maintaining strength of muzzle; gd bone & feet; correctly angulated fore & aft; such a sound & active mover with a proud carriage; just too much tuck up as yet but only a teenager. PGD (4 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: HINWOOD, Anerbs Sheer Nanagins; 25m b/t & am loving the name; plenty of positives that should see him readily winning his way up the ranks; conical, tapered head w/o a prominent stop; well filled front & well ribbed back to a firm loin, albeit would benefit from a touch more clearance; well angulated; gd bone & feet; stylish mover. 2nd: BETHEL, Hampdach Lord Flashheart; 22m b/t litter brother in YD; can repeat all his positives, not least in head & noted his slight stop into slightly arched muzzle; long enough but will become more compact as he matures on; close fitting coat; full, broad rump that he put to good use, maintaining his flowing gait with drive; will also be moving up the ranks. 3rd: RYCROFT, Skywalker Blue at Trisensara LD (3 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: SMALL, Imp Almaznyi Laretz Ershalaim At Devondax; 2.5yrs b/t; my notes begin with "classy looking"; what I particularly liked about him was that he had the quality bodylines & style yet with nothing exaggerated or overdone; has the conical head; has the well filled front; oval thorax; slight arch to loin; width through muscled hindquarters; moved accordingly. 2nd: STARKEY, Carpaccio Magnum P.I.At Hamoura; just turned 2yrs; such a handsome head with ex almond, oblique eye & moderate stop down to a strong muzzle with a slight arch; rather heavily built over his shoulders; gd in rib, loin & muscled rear; scored in feet & coat; well able to state his case. OD (6 Entries) Abs: 0 What an ex class to make ME work, let alone the exhibits 1st: HEELS, Mrs & HEELS, Daxanory Menacing Dennis; 4yrs red who, put simply, went better & better; the more I asked of him, the more he delivered; length to head & neck; conical; lovely eye; well formed front; prominent breastbone; has clearance; has angulation; well ribbed to strong loin; gd in rump; moved with a flowing ease. Reserve Dog Challenge Certificate 2nd: MOES, & WILLIAMS, Cwmdarhian Super Mario; nearly 3yrs red of undeniable quality; classic headpiece; long, clean neck with slight arch; well filled front; breastbone so prominent that typical depression appeared on either side of it; flatter footed; a touch longer; so structurally secure; well angulated; great, parallel, rear with breadth & muscle; coat short & dense; could certainly anticipate a title. 3rd: MACDONALD, Bensarka Limerick VD NO ENTRIES SBB NO ENTRIES MPB (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: WILKINSON & WAKEHAM, Raajput's Candian Winter with Wakywilks; 8m b/t of quality & ex conformation; conical in head, retaining strength in muzzle; dark, almond eye; has clearance; gd neck & angles; ribbing carried well back; already so secure; shows considerable promise. PB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: MCNAUGHTON, Cedavoch Lothlorien; 9m b/t completing an enviable winning trio of siblings reflecting credit on their breeding; once she settled to her task, she showed us her considerable quality; conical, refined head; almond, oblique eye; scored in neck & forehand; balanced angles; well ribbed up; broad & muscled rear; moved accordingly; a winning year ahead. 2nd: ROBERTS, & SMITH, Craimose Aquilegia For Rayol; 11m b/t & this time, impressively, one of a quartet of siblings; undeniably feminine; conical, tapered head; almond eye; long neck; oval thorax; clearance; well ribbed up already; just a little limited in her stride as she circuited with a keen, high tail carriage; plenty of promise. 3rd: GENTLE, & YOUNG, Craimose Freesia JB (4 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: MACDONALD, & COXON, Melisdax Mischief In May; 12m b/t of an ex type & soundness who used herself so well on the move, being longstriding with some rear drive; needless to say is refined in her conical head through to slightly arched muzzle; well filled front; well ribbed up; can just fill in loin but not an issue at this tender age; will surely be making her presence felt in adult competition. 2nd: LUCAS, Tramardachs Booty Licious; 14m red; v typical; feminine head with taper; scored in eye & ear; clearance; gd neck & backline coupled with gd, balanced, angulation gave her a secure outline on the move, aided by a well muscled rump; handler made a gd job of checking her against her tendency to pull to one side; another one to watch. 3rd: TOMLINSON, Melisdax Memories of May YB (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: HANNEY-MITCHELL, Bronia Solar Flare; 21m shaded red & cant help mentioning that she turns out to be half-sister to the above JB, the trio of Cedavoch pups & the Bitch CC; so her critique is self explanatory as all the others' positives are repeated; ultra feminine with no loss of strength of form; glorious headpiece; compact, of moderate length, with clearance and a backline with slightest rise over loin so as to make her entirely work functional; looking as good as she does was entitled to be a bit proud of her tail; gave us freedom with parallel reach & drive; her title is a mere formality. Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate 2nd: STARK, Adnerbs Not On Your Nellie Gobannium; 22m shaded red & guess what? Half-sister to the above & full sister to the Bitch CC & BOB; so as to separate her from the above, she was not quite as compact & a little soft in underline, which latter is no doubt only temporary; super headed with all present & correct through its tapered length; strength through front & rear, giving a secure structure that was self-evident on the move where she flowed along; another one capable of holding her own. 3rd: COX, & COX, Bulldaxit Secret Love PGB (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: HEELS, Mrs & HEELS, Daxanory Ravishing Meg; 4yrs shaded red litter sister to the Reserve Dog CC; typy b. Full of activity that showed on the move where she was so positive & free flowing as she circuited; medium, almond eye; strong muzzle; prominent breastbone; was a little deep bodied & a little long in loin; well angulated with a correct backline & broad rump that enabled drive. LB (5 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: JENNINGS, Clentry Sweet Melody; just turned 2yrs shaded red & the word "fabulous" appears a few times in my judging book; so feminine but lacks nothing in strength of build or structure, being so gd to go over; scores particularly in eye & ear in her conical head; gd neck; well filled front; spring to pastern; ex feet; well angulated: ribbed-up with gradually merging underline; great rump; moved with a balanced reach, drive & carriage; surely title bound. 2nd: MACDONALD, Hampdach Alice Springs at Bensarka; rising 5yrs shaded red; well covered to a degree of being that bit overbuilt through her front; loved her headpiece with all its correct features & notable strength in slightly arched muzzle; muscular neck; well ribbed-up; short, strong loin; broad, muscled rump enabled drive. 3rd: PATERSON, & PATERSON, Cwmdarhian The Mistress OB (4 Entries) Abs: 2 1st: CHAUHAN, Ch Adnerbs Take A Chance On Me At Raajput; 4.5yrs b/t; statuesque; classic breed type; feminine in head that is long & conical & tapers so gradually & cleanly; prominent breastbone with depression on either side; enough clearance; well filled & secure in front; gd bone & feet; long neck with slight arch; compact; ideal underline; cracking rear; beautifully conditioned so her tight coat shone; took it all up a notch on the move where she flowed with easy stride & drive. Bitch Challenge Certificate & BOB 2nd: WILLIAMS, & GASKIN, Ir Ch Dovestream Do Me A Favour; 6.5yrs b/ t; super, hard condition; lovely eye if rather too refined in muzzle; ex outline to her structure; has clearance; fabulous feet; readily made gd use of herself as she circuited; firm & muscled rear; came on rather loose in front, particularly at elbow.
