All exhibits were in firm muscular condition, all mouths were correct and breed type in general was pleasing. Being the third breed in the ring, my thanks to Alex and Lucy, my two stewards, who were efficient and unobtrusive enabling me to finish in good time. BCC & BOB was Chauhan’s Ch Adnerbs Take A Chance On Me At Raajput, beautiful black and tan bitch on top form who caught my eye immediately she entered the ring, she exudes quality and breed type and has much elegance. She is beautifully constructed, sweetly feminine, has adequate ground clearance and scores in top-line and underline. She powered round the ring with great style. DCC was Mcnaughton’s Ch Cedavoch Struuann, impressive young red male. Having awarded him well as a puppy he has fulfilled all his potential and has matured into a most impressive Dachshund. He has it all, scoring particularly for his overall height to length proportion and ideal degree of ground clearance; impeccably sound he powers round the ring with typical breed attitude.

PD (2) 1 & Res CC, Chauhan’s Neithund Angus, 6 month red baby on his first outing who is promising and has much confidence for his young age, he presents a well-proportioned and compact outline, correct top-line and underline and is of sound construction. 2 Mcnaughton’s Cedavoch Rohan, longer style black and tan who is well developed and in strong muscular condition for his young age, I preferred the feet and top-line of the one above.

JD (3,1) 1 Jennings Marvales’s Manifesto at Jenivon and 2Couplands Retrohound Hermes. Both of these youngsters are black and tan and being relatively similar in style could change places. Both are very respectable, of good breed type and are developing well. If anything I preferred the feet of the first and the neckline of the second.

PGD (2) 1 Mcnaughton’s Cedavoch Calenhad, quality young black and tan dog who should make the grade on today’s showing. He is well constructed, masculine in outlook with nothing overdone and of good breed type, best of legs and feet, adequate ground clearance and correct action. 2 Hinwood’s Anerbs Sheer Nanagins, attractive black and tan dog who was unlucky to meet the one above, attractive head, good body proportions and firm musculature, movement was correct. Preferred the neckline of the one above.

OD (2) 1 Ch C Struuann. 2 Grace & Twaddles Cotherstone Hashtag Sasilasy, black and tan dog who gave a good account of himself and was unlucky to meet the one above. This is a respectable typy Dachshund of sound construction and well-proportioned outline with good top-line and angulations and moved truly.

PB (5) 1 & Res CC, Mcnaughton’s Cedavoch Lothlorien, a quality 10 month black and tan bitch of lovely breed type and in sparkling form, feminine head and true expression, well-developed keel, good legs and feet, excellent ribbing all through and typical movement and head carriage. 2 Reynolds Glenariff Yes Ma’am, sweet black and tan bitch developing nicely, good front and keel, correct top-line, well balanced all through. Preferred hindquarters of the one above. 3 Kays Lochlip Some Like it Hot.

JB (2) 1 Tomlinsons Melisdax Memories of May, attractive black and tan bitch who has lovely breed type, feminine yet strongly made all through, sound front and good feet, adequate ground clearance, correct top-line and underline and moved well. 2 Balfours Clentry Mango Passion, pretty red bitch developing nicely and unlucky to meet the one above, sweet head, sound front and went well. Preferred the hindquarters of the one above.

PGB (1) 1 Tomlinsons Melisdax Magnolia in May, very respectable red bitch who is sweetly feminine and soundly put together, good front and feet, correct development in keel, top-line and underline in balance and typical breed movement.

LB (4) 1 Hanney-Mitchells Bronia Solar Flare, beautiful red bitch of style who should make the grade, she is of lovely breed type, appealing head and expression, prominent keel and sturdy legs and feet, correct angulation front and rear, good ground clearance and positive in movement. 2 Jennings Clentry Sweet Melody, another attractive typy red bitch who gave a good account of herself, lovely head, soundly made all through, adequate ground clearance, lovely ribbing and top-line and moved truly. 3 Balfours Clentry Mickey Mania.

OB (5,2) 1 Ch Adnerbs T a C on Me at Raajput. 2 Tomlinsons Emerald Isle to Melisdax, lovely red bitch unlucky to meet the one above, sweetly feminine yet strongly made all through, pretty head and expression, well-angulated front and rear, top-line correct, adequate ground clearance and moved well. 3 Rodgers’ Cedavoch Sophisticate at Thundergay.

VB (1) 1 Kay’s Grainne Lannister at Lochlip (Imp) It, difficult to believe this lovely black and tan bitch is 8.5 years of age, she is well-constructed and of good breed type, everything is in proportion with correct ground clearance and an attractive outline and she moved like a youngster.
