I must thank the Committee of Border Union for this appointment and also my two lady stewards.  No show can run without them and their work is most appreciated.  This was a quality entry and I had a few close decisions to make. I think the ringside heard my surprise when I was told I had just awarded the third CC to a dog 3 days out of puppy. Possibly the youngest ever for this particular kennels. And apparently a possible first ever brindle Champion for this variety of the breed. Well done to owner and breeder. BOB went to the winner of the BCC and I was delighted to see her shortlisted by the Group judge. Thank you to everyone for your entries. JD 1. McNaughton's Clentry Cooking Up a Storm. Very taken with the balance and size of this exhibit. Very smart. Notes say the outline was striking. Very pleasing in head with correctly shaped dark eye, good ear set and strength to jaw. Loved the neck which flowed smoothly into a well laid shoulder. Correct in front with super keel, well supported by the crook. Good feet. Ribs were sturdy, of good length and supported the topline. Underline merged gradually towards hind quarters. Good clearance allowed free movement. Firm and muscled hindquarters finished the picture and his low hocks drove him well on the move on this wet grass.  DCC.     LD 1. McNaughton's Cedavoch Rohan. Eye catching and masculine, His outline was balanced and clean. Correct head and eye. Again a neat front with prominent keel fitting snugly in crook. Tight feet. Plenty length to  body which also had enough clearance. Ribs were strong. Well angulated rear. Not so positive in rear movement.   OD. (5) Lovely class and close decisions here. 1. Jennings Marvale’s Manifesto at Jenivon  Really masculine and eyecatching. Strong head with correctly shaped dark eye. Good length of  neck blends into well laid shoulders. Neat front, well filled crook, There was plenty length to ribs and the body was firm. Muscled hindquarters with correct angulation, moved parallel coming and going. RDCC.  2. Graham's Ch Marvale Chancellor at Ravold JW Litter brother to winner and very similar with that pleasing head, good layback of shoulders, tidy front, good feet, firm well ribbed body and good strong hindquarters standing. Just moved slightly uneven when going away however on a different surface this could improve. 3. Grace/Twaddle  Cotherstone Hashtag Sasilasy.  JB. 1.  McNaughton's Clentry Steal My Thunder. Beautiful outline. Feminine and pleasing head and expression. Elegant neck blends into well laid shoulders. Good in front with plenty of sternum nestled in crook. Nicely ribbed and underline blends in well. Good angulation front and rear. Firm quarters. At first flighty on the move but ok when settled.  GB 1. Balfour's Clentry Steal The Limelight. Another pleasing youngster still with a lot of maturing to do. Such a pretty head, calm expression, nicely set ears, dark eye, clean neck of good length, neat front with enough sternum and crook. Body was long and had good clearance. Hocks were set on low, She would have benefitted from a stronger hind movement but again I suspect the damp grass was the culprit. Will be interesting to see her in a few  months when she has matured on. Promising. PGB  1.  Balfour's Clentry Mango Passion ShCEx.  Pretty head with dark almond eye. Tidy front. Good feet, elbows sit nicely in at the side. Ribs are of a good length. Plenty muscle in the hindquarters. Would have preferred a slightly lower hock but still moved well on this damp grass. 2.  Upton's Denval Golden Moment. Slightly larger girl with good substance. Pleasing head and eye. Good length of neck flowing into a nicely laid shoulder, Good ribs and feet. Level topline. Very unsettled but eventually settled however was not happy on the move.  LB Three lovely girls. 1. Brettell's Marvale Coalition with Melriding. Mature bitch of nice quality. Good head set on an elegant neck which flowed into nicely laid shoulders. Sternum well developed and fiited comfortably into crook Ribs were good and the topline was firm. Good angulation front and rear. Used her low hocks well on the move showing parallel coming and going.  2. McNaughton's Cedavoch Lothlorien Nice size and shape to this girl. Pleasing head set on good length of neck. Shoulders well laid back . Elbows fitting neatly at the side. Front was good. Nice feet, sturdy body and firm quarters. Just felt the first was more positive in hind movement. 3. Tomlinson's Melisdax Memories of May.  OB. Another lovely class.  1. Hanney-Mitchell's Ch Bronia Solar Flare  This stylish girl was so good to go over. Correct head with dark eyes good ear set. Strong jaw. Confident expression. Head is set proudly on elegant neck which blended seamlessly into her well laid shoulders. Excellent keel,  well supported by crook. Straight front with good bone and feet. Elbows were sitting neatly and ribs go well back. Topline was kept level standing and moving. Good angulation front and rear.  Clearance allowed free movement .  Low hocks allowed her to drive easily round the ring. BCC and BOB. 2.  Grace/Twaddle's Excellmagic Vanda Vogue at Sasilasy (Imp Rus)  Another very taking exhibit. Similiar in size to 1. Very pleasing head set on super elegant neck. Nicely laid shoulders. Tidy front, Good keel, Nice feet.  Well balanced throughout, firm topline, low hocks. Moved well. Seriously considered for RBCC. 3.  Tomlinson's Melisdax Magnolia in May
