I wish to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge today, it is always nice to be a part of this superbly run show.

I had a very enjoyable day and was very well looked after.

Many thanks as usual to my hard working and super-efficient stewards, jo and Louise

I had some very close decisions and was spoilt for choice; quality overall was very good. All were in excellent condition, clean and well presented, temperaments all good. Only a couple of absentees, so thank you.

Size needs looking at, some were rather heavy, loaded on the shoulders causing elbows to be loose and toplines to dip.

My winners were all of excellent type.

 Puppy Dog (1)

1ST: Brettells Melriding Hindenburg at Diminudax

Very promising boy, just 6 months and took a little time to settle. Good balance to his head, long neck, good layback of shoulder, good prosternum, good ribbing and bone, well angulated hindquarters which he uses well on the move.

 Junior Dog (2)

1ST McNaughton’s Ch Clentry Cooking Up A Storm DCC, BOB

13 months in tip top condition, quality dog of correct size and balance. Beautiful head, dark almond eye, good neck into well placed shoulder, correct bone and feet, excels in ribbing, nice length and strong topline and correctly angulated quarters with short rear pasterns, moved with great reach and drive front and rear, keeping an excellent outline. CC, and BOB

2ND Wands Wanderhund for My Next Trick

Another promising youngster of good size and proportion. Masculine head, reachy neck and shoulder placement, excellent bone and feet, ribbing carried well back, short loin, good balance to his quarters, moved very well with good reach and drive.

Special Beginners Dog (1)

Such a handsome masculine dog a worthy champion. Perfectly balanced, lovely expression with strong jaw. Excellent width and depth of forechest with sweeping underline Elbows tight. As expected with this kennel he is in good hard gleaming condition. He moved out with an effortless stride keeping his outline in profile with excellent reach and drive and parallel movement fore and aft. Preferred CC winner for size.

Puppy Bitch (4,2)

Two super babies who will change places.

1ST Jennings Melriding True Colours at Jenivon

Attractive baby girl. Balanced head, lovely expression, elegant neck running on to very well-placed shoulders. lengthy ribbing, strong loin. A picture of balance which showed in her movement showing off her super outline on the move and standing. In gleaming condition.

2ND Rycrofts Raajput Dancer Divaa with Trisensara

Very similar to winner, better rear angulation and moved exceptionally well for one so young

Sadly, was spooked on the table by a falling dustbin, hopefully she will come back with confidence. Sympathetically handled.

Junior Bitch (4,3)

1ST Chauhan Raajput Dreamgirl

Still a puppy, very elegant quite mature. She has a lovely feminine typy head shape and expression. Not the firm body lines as yet but needs to strengthen in back and top-line. True forechest with good front and rear angulations; plenty of quality and promise. Moved well in front with good extension. BP

Lovely quality class

1ST Andison Ch Clentry Crunchy Carrot

Really classy eye catching elegant girl, she is correct for size and has a good temperament. Feminine head. Good eye and expression. Well laid shoulder, and a good return of upper arm. Long keel. Well sprung ribs. Probably one of the best for length of loin and back. Super rear. Correct front action. Uses her rear v well. Pushed hard in challenge RCC

2ND Starks Ch Adnerbs Won Vision of Gobannium JW OSW

Seen her before and she has really earned her title. Lovely head & eye; balanced throughout, workmanlike without being coarse. Correct proportions. For perfection would prefer a shade ground clearance and topline was slacking a little today but very nice all over. Still a quality type

3RD Nortons Matzell Martinella

 Veteran Bitch (1)

1ST Wands Wanderhund California Girl

An excellent example, in good hard condition, has so much to admire all through. Correct in head has good proportions. Kind in eye with a gentle expression. Plenty in neck with a clean shoulder. Scores with her ample ribbing with correct topline & underline. Her bone has good quality with neat feet. She held her outline on the go around at all times, showing the young ones how a dachshund should move.BV
