Some exhibits would benifit from having their coats tidied up and several animals are in need of some hard exercise, although I appreciated that some dogs were not moving off their best on the stubble and in the heat.

PD. (3). 1. Davis’s, Atahira Bags the Blue. 8 months old harsh coated dark brindle. Lovely head and correct eye. Good neck, good layback of shoulder, prominent forechest. Good ribs, well angulated hindquarters. Moved with gusto, topline a touch slack when moving. Doesn’t need any more length. Raw puppy with lots of promise. BP. 2. Robert’s, Ritterburg the Gallant Knight. 9 months old brindle. Good head and eye. Preferred should on first. Hindquarters ok. Enough ribbing. Rather proud of his tail and does need to body up.

JD. (4). 1. Clifford’s, Brockbane Papageno with Ablebody. Brindle just out of puppy. Liked his type. Well balanced, deep bodied. Correct double coat. Correct eye. Well angulated front and rear. Good ribbing, kept a nice topline. Moved ok. Needs muscling up. Would prefer a shade more length of muzzle. 2. Gibson’s, Allfreys Tristram. Lighter brindle bigger cast than first. Masculine head, preferred shoulders on first. Deep bodied, well ribbed. Excellent topline and underline. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved with real drive from the rear.

PGD. (1). 1. Patton’s, Lesandnic Limestone Lad. Brindle with a happy disposition. Good head with kind eye. Well angulated front and rear. Kept his topline. Good tailset.

LD. (3). 1. Robert’s, Perikles Knight of the Eagle. Smart brindle. Well balanced, masculine head and correct eye. Very good forequarters. Excellent top and underline. Super ribbing. Hindquarters ok. Moved with drive keeping a very nice outline. 2. Clifford’s, Winterstorm Symphony with Ablebody. Super coated dark brindle. Head ok. Preferred front constriction of winner. Deep bodied, leve, good hindquarters. Moved well.

OD. (4). 1. McCalmont’s, Ch. Silvae Pickwick. Most lovely brindle. Excellently presented. Superb head, well arched neck. Nice shoulders. Deep bodied. Excellent top and underline. Well ribbed. Most excellent hindquarters which drive him round the ring with some style. To be hypercritical would prefer a touch more pro-sternum and a shade more upper arm. CC. 2. Phillip’s, Ch. Wells Sea Breeze at Tendrow. I have made no secret of the fact that I like this dog. Super coated dark brindle. Thought when he came into the ring he would be my winner. Has better front construction than first and is very well made. Unfortunately losing his topline when moving and was not coping well with the ground. He did not keep his lovely outline on the move that he had stacked, but he well deserved the RCC. Two lovely dogs.

PB. (3). 1. North-Row’s, Silvae Beads. 9 months old brindle. Lovely head and eye which could be improved by a little trimming. Well arched neck. Lovely forequarters. Good ribbing, nice hindquarters. Topline just running up a shade when she moves. 2. Camm’s, Ritterburg Lady Sinadoun at Somercloud. 8 months old brindle. Nicely constructed bitch who needs to tighten up in hind action.

JB. (3). 1. Gordon’s, Cempsey Conquet. Very much liked her type. Mature brindle. Well balanced, excellently presented. Feminine head, well arched neck. Good fore and hindquarter construction. Well ribbed, deep bodied. Moved very well keeping a lovely outline. 2. Phillips’, Tendrow Sumthyne Special. Dark brindle daughter of RDCC and very much his type. Bitch who is very well constructed but just preferred hind action on first.

PGB. (6). 1. North-Row’s, Silvae Fitzfine. Find of the day. Most lovely brindle. Super head, excellent shoulder, upperarm and forechest. Correct top and underline. Superb hindquarters. Moved effortlessly round the ring. Seriously considered her for the ticket but her coat is not at its best. Res CC. One to watch. 2 Gordon’s Cempsey Coquest.

LB (3) 1 Derry’s Ritterburg Lady Guinevere. Lovely sized brindle of nice size. Well presented bitch, handled expertly. Harsh coat,, feminine head with the correct eye, nicely constructed forequarters. Good ribbing, well angulated quarters, moved with drive. 2 Ryder’s Sonic Knight Sky to Jaskar. Good coated dark brindle. Has all the attributes of the winner. I just preferred the size of the winner.

OB (4) 1 Pughe and Fraser’s Ch Bystock Black Queen. Object lesson in handling and presentation. Lovely head, correct eye, the very best of fronts. Lovely feet, excellent topline, superb hindquarters. Good tailset, kept a lovely outline standing and and moving. Best mover of the day. CC and Best of Breed. 2 McCalmont’s Ch Silvae Picnic. Pepper and salt, good coated bitch whose construction is very correct. Unfortunately, whether the heat or the ground affected her, she didn’t want to move as I know she can.
