WIRE HAIRED
I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely entry and was impressed with the depth of quality since I last judged the breed. Hindquarters in particular have really improved with some spectacular hind drive, which in one or two cases was a trifle overdone. I found quite a few short in ribbing under the keel also some flattish slightly twisted front feet. Finally a lot of dirty teeth.
PD. (4). 1. Phillips’, Tendrow Special Edition. Excellent construction resulting in very sound movement. Lovely head, eye and earset. Good top and underline. Good bone and feet. Very balanced in side gait. Prefect front movement. 2. Clifford’s, Ablebody Rock n Roll. Red, very good outline. Pleasing head. Good neck and flow into topline. Thought might be my winner but preferred the front of winner. 3. Moore’s, Romanchi Wichita.
JD. (5). 1. McCalmont’s, Silvae Pioneer. Loved his head, eye and earset. Reachy neck, good shoulder with plenty in front giving excellent front movement. Good length of rib. Short loin. Well turned hindquarters with decent second thigh. Profile movement was stylish with good fore and aft reach. Well balanced, topline should firm with maturity and hopefully tailset will settle. One for the future. 2. Borman’s, Sonic Pickpocket. More mature than winner. Good bone and feet. Firm well formed body. Sound fore and aft. Super coat, hard condition. Better topline and tailset than winner, but preferred the head and quarters of winner. 3. Harris and Millgate’s, Rilto Shooting Star.
PGD. (6). 1. Norman and Ratcliffe’s, Silvae Hotshot. Lovely head and neck. Very good ribbing and bone. Nice padded feet. Pleasing profile with decent prosternum. Harsh slightly rough coat. A very pleasing exhibit. 2. Evans’s, Saxonbury Playmate. Close up to the winner. Good all round body shape. Nice turn of quarters. Good thrust and movement. Preferred this dogs coat but winner had the edge in neck and prosternum. 3. Gibson’s, Allfreys Seabiscuit.
