A day I shall always remember. The ultimate
honour to be invited to judge at Crufts. I thank you most warmly for the superb
entry you gave me. The quality was of the highest calibre - competition was
strong in most classes - many very good dogs went away cardless! I wanted a well
balanced hound - moving soundly, supremely fit, well presented with an excellent
temperament. Presentation and showmanship all play a big part to win top awards.
But a correct wire jacket is imperative. Well! I was spoilt for choice. Thank
you for accepting my decisions so sportingly. I thoroughly enjoyed judging your

Pickwick. Brindle, just 7, great quality, looking well showing a lovely outline
both standing and on the move and he can really move! Good head/eye/bone, well
kept feet, sound, well presented and handled. 2 Harris, Ch/SA Ch Silvae
Blacksmith At Ritlo. Nearly 10, dark brindle, another quality dog, so much to
like, moving well, sound, head of 1 just had the edge. Well presented. 3 Carter,
Romanchi Chenalis At Boglands. Nearly 8, brindle of good conformation, inclined
to lose topline on move - sound.
Sp PD (6,1) 1 Harmer,
Ballanroo All Fired up. Well balanced red brindle, 13 months, son of vet 1.
Lovely outline both standing and on the move, good topline & shoulders, sound,
should do well with maturity, presented & handled well. BP. 2 Vine, Cishelvine
Seaswell. Dark brindle, 10 months, good head/eye, moving well but preffered
topline of 1 on move. Well handled. 3 Clare, Cempsey Sunlight At Mabellene.
Nearly 1, red brindle of bigger type, not the front action of 1 & 2 but a nice
pup. Res C Hastings, Bardings Best Mate.
Sp JD (3,1) 1 Seath, Sunsong
Totally Frank. Well balanced quality with ex coat, good head/eye, oval front,
well arched neck, good shoulders, topline kept on the move, good angulation
fore/aft, moving soundly, well presented and handled. 2 Harmer, Ballanroo All
Fired Up.
PGD (11,1) 1 Davison, Lesandnic
Landing Light. 3 years, beautifully presented, lovely head/eye, good bone, well
kept feet, good shoulder placement, correct topline kept on move - sound. 2
Williams, Swincombe Shropshire Lad. Quality dark brindle of good type & size,
good coat, sound but preferred topline of 1 on move. Well handled. 3 Pinkerton,
Bystock Skye Walker At Menigma. Quality brindle of good size and conformation,
well presented and handled. Res Clifford, Ablebody Rock N Roll.
LD (8,1) 1 Borman, Sonic Pickpocket.
Very well balanced quality brindle, the very best of feet and good jacket, ex
conformation, really very eye catching of good breed type. Lovely size, good top
and underline, strong hindquarters which he used to move soundly, well handled
and presented, one I really liked - he deserves to be made up. 2 Phillips,
Tendrow Special edition. Quality dark brindle of ex conformation, good angles,
so much to like but just not settled today. Lovely head/eye, ex coat - sound.
Well handled & presented. 3 Harris & Millgate, Ritlo Shooting Star. Quality
brindle, not yet 2, showing good outline of good construction. Res Davies,

Raydachs Tom Cruisen On (IMP). Wonderful class. He has everything I hoped to
find - quality brindle 4 1/2 showing a great silhouette of ex breed type,
correct size, dark eye, good oval front, best of feet, well arched neck running
into well placed shoulders, tight elbows, long ribbing, top and underline good,
well angulated hindquarters, short hocks used to drive with good hind thrust,
looked lovely on move keeping topline, so very sound, ex jacket. A real showman,
well handled & presented, delighted to award CC & BOB. 2 Derry, Ch Andlouis The
Tempest. Loved this dog, 2 1/2 brindle of quality, nothing exaggerated with ex
coat, so well balanced, good head, dark almond eye, best feet, good bone, looked
good on move using his strong hindquarters to advantage, very well handled and
presented, RCC. 3 Rollinson, Ch/Ir Ch Nosinllor Grenadier ShCM. An old favourite
4 1/2 quality brindle, good breed type, good construction, ribbing carried well
back, strong hindquarters, lovely on move, 3 super dogs all deserving that big
green card! Res McCalmont, Silvae Pioneer.

Black Bryony. Top quality brindle 9 1/2, ex conformation, lovely size. Correct
jacket, expressive head/eye, well placed shoulders ribbing carried well back,
strong hindquarters, very sound, well handled & presented. 2 Patton, Bardings
Brocade. Nearly 9 quality of good size, good construction, sound but not the
hind extension of 1. Well presented and handled. 3 Baxter, Lankelly Saffron At
Kharmina. Quality brindle, sister to 1. Another lovely bitch - not the topline
of 1. Well handled and presented. Res Ferguson, Allfreys Rainbow At Teaselwood.
Sp PB (7,3) 1 Skinner, Ritterburg
Walkure. 10 months dark brindle of quality, showing lovely outline. Good
head/eye of good conformation, sound, well handled and presented. 2 Poulter,
Lankelly Eloquent Rose. Quality dark brindle of ex construction nearly year old,
sound movement, well handled & presented. 3 Poulter, Lankelly Monets Garden.
Litter sister to 2, same good quality & construction but needs time to fully
co-operate with her handler. I wish her well.

Goddess Athene. 16 month brindle of quality, good breed type, good conformation,
correct jacket, attractive head/eye, good feet, well angulated, sound, well
handled & presented. 2 Cunningham, Bonavoir Tiger Lily Of celandine. Larger
quality red, 17 months showing lovely outline both standing and on the move.
Good head/eye sound well handled & presented. 3 Rowe, Boloria Anastasia. 17
months, choc, brindle of quality - sound 2 & 3 not the hind thrust as 1 on move.

Breeze. Well balanced dark brindle of quality, 19 months, of good conformation.
Good breed type, well angulated fore/aft, coat and feet good, moved soundly,
well handled & presented. 2 Patton, Liebling Ponder On Me. Quality red brindle
showing lovely outline both standing and on the move. Good head/bone/feet -
sound. Well presented & handled. 3 Speak, Rodnan Cassandras Girl. Bigger quality
brindle sister to 1. J/B. Good type, ex coat a real handful, moves well when
settled. Res Heffernan, Ritlo Maid Merrianne At Mamutik.
LB (9,1) Super class! 1 Pughe &
Fraser, Bystock Pumpkin Pie. Well balanced quality 19 months brindle, super
coat, showing a lovely silhouette, good head/eye, well arched neck running into
well placed shoulders, well ribbed. Angulation fore/aft good, moving soundly,
well handled & presented. 2 Gibson, Allfreys Ursula. Quality red brindle 2
years. Another showing a lovely outline, standing & moving on good feet, sound
good breed type, well, handled & presented. 3 Rees, Ermewood Arabella. Well
balanced quality brindle. Nearly 4 with good coat, good breed type, excels on
move, lovely temperament, well presented & handled. Res Phillips, Tendrow ‘O’
Sooo Special JW. This was a lovely class of bitches. Very little separated each
one, all of good bred type, good coats and sound.
OB (15,2) A wonderful class full of
quality. 1 Ravenhall & Heywood, AM Ch Treispinheiros Strbarack Annie. Well
balanced quality brindle of 4 1/2 of ex conformation showing a great silhouette
of ex breed type, right size. Expressive head/eye good oval front, well shaped
feet, good shoulder and upperarm, good keel/ribs/topline, well let down behind,
super on move, ex coat so sound, very well handled and presented. Thank
you for bringing her, I loved her. CC. 2 Phillips, Ch Saxonbury Playday At
Tendrow. Yet another fabulous brindle, 3 years, quality, well balanced of good
breed type & lovely size. Good jacket, nothing exaggerated, moved soundly both
ways, well presented & handled. RCC. 3 McCalmont, Ch Silvae Pastiche. Quality
brindle 2 1/2 well balanced of ex conformation. Looked great on move. Very
little separated these 3 but 1 won on showmanship. Res Poulter & Macdonald, Ch
Lankelly Kelsey Rose ShCM.
Good Cit B (2,0) 1 Patton, Ch/ir Ch
Lesandnic Like A Butterfly. 3 1/2 year old brindle of great quality,
lovely bitch with charming temperament, ex coat & muscle tone, moving soundly
both ways, well handled & presented by this sporting owner. 2 Higgott, Soneve
Phoebe Of Elaton. VHC in L/B class which was a fab class. Quality bitch of good
conformation. Sound, well handled and presented.
