DACHSHUND - WIRE HAIRED
Vet 1, Coverley's Romanchi
Choctaw, nine year old grizzle dog, with a very dignified male head; excellent
ear carriage , very good neck, shoulder and layback of iupper arm, excellent
topline for his age, rather high tailset, very strong hindquarters. Moved
freely and well. Tight wiry coat 2. Tagundnacht the Rag Nymph. Feminine bitch of
very nice type, at fourteen, certainly lovely for her age. Sweet feminine head.
Rather forward set forequarters. Good and firm topline, nice true mover.Rather
looser of the forequarters now, but overall wonderful for her age!
PD (5) 1 and best puppy Skinner's Ritterburg Surprise Parcel.
Beautifully finished puppy, strong and masculine, in a larger mold. Handsome
masculine head, excellent earset and eye/expression. long but strong neck, well
angulated forequarters. Firm topline, excellent tailset and hindquarters.
Cleanly muscled over the front, excellent ribbing. Ground covering free mover,
still rather puppyish in rear action. 2. Allfreys to catch a Thief at Cishervine.
A more short coupled dog, and nicely proportioned. Pleasant head, deeper earset
, good neck and forehand, firm topline, hindquarters of more medium angulation.
Moved well for a puppy. 3. Allfreys rock of Gibraltar
J (4) 1. Patton's Sea the Stars Lovely fourteen month old dog of
excellent size and type. Most handsome head with lovely expression, very good
neck, shoulder and front, cleanly muscled and stands so well here. Firm topline,
somewhat high tailset. Hindquarter angulation matching that of his front. Free
powerful mover. A most promising young dog , only just out of puppy. 2. Bystock
Double O'Seven at Nosinllor not the masculinity of the winner, but a dog of
lovely size and make. Nice head, good neck which could show more strength Nice
front, rather forward set, good topline, well coupled. Moved very freely, but
tended to move with a high front action here. 3. Lesandnic Sublimity
PG (4) 1. Rollinson's Bystock Double O'Seven at Nosinllor. Beaten in
the previous class, this dog fourteen month old youngster settled here, front
action not so high and deserved to win this class, scored on his size and his
active and free side action. 2. Ritterburg Storm Trooper, overall a lovely type,
good head and neck, nicely angulated forehand, good topline, hindquarters
matching front angulation. Moved well but without the freedom of winner.
3.Philisha Jack be Nimble
L ( 8) 1. Coverley's Aventine Tropic Thunder Light grizzle, very well
presented, a steady and calm temperament. Very pleasant long head, lovely eye
and expression. Good front, not exaggerated in keel, Firm topline, excellent
tailset. Nicely balanced quarters, and he is well coupled. Free mover, perhaps a
bit high in front action. Presented in short wiry coat 2. Derochaise Mutineer
Three year old, rather darker dog, in quite a close coat. Very nice dignified
head and expression, good neck and front, rather stronger built here, but stands
good and true. Well defined keel. Excellent firm topline, Strong hindquarters.
Steady and free mover. 3. Silvae Zealot. Open (5) 1 and CC McCalmont's Silvae
Paradigm.. for me this dog stood out today in the males with his beautiful
outline and overall type. Lovely dignified head, strong but not very long neck,
clean over the front which is well angulated. Rather deeper in body. Good firm
topline, excellent tail set and strong hindquarters. A really good free mover as
seen from the side. Overall this dog impressed me on his overall balance and
type . Moved out very well in the challenge which secured the CC for him, I
understand his third. A very worthy champion. 2. Ir. Ch. Lesandnic Larsson.
Most attractive dog in outline, but more smooth than rough coated. A lively dog,
so very much a Dachshund! Pleasant head, rather deep earset. excellent front
with nicely laid back shoulder and cleanly muscled front, excellent ground
clearance, which for me as a Scandinavian is very important. Scored on his
excellent topline and overall proportions. Break behind the shoulders. Free and
happy mover. 3. Daybreak's Classique Cruiser.
PB (1) 1 Gibson's Allfreys Lillie Langtry. Really sweet puppy, carrying
more weight than ideal today. Sweet feminine head . Nicely angulated front,
prominent forechest, firm topline, good hindquarters. Nice and free side action.
JB (4) 1. Pughe & Fraser's Bystock Pussy Galore. Beautifully balanced
fourteen month old bitch, I note litter sister to the winner of the Postgrad dog
class. Sweet head, excellent neck, shoulders, topline, croup and tailset.
Overall a very balanced bitch, really good forequarters and matching
hindquarters, for angulation. Moved really well, truly and freely. Strongly
considered for higher honours. 2 Lesandniuc Sariska Very attractive young
bitch, rather lighter in colouring. Nice feminine head, good neck and nicely
angulated front, good firm topline, rather longer in overall body proportions
than winner. Strong hindquarters Although a very free and active mover, must be
at an in between stage from a growth standpoint, as she tended to run "downhill"
as seen from the side, I feel a lack of maturity at this time. 3. Molloney on
Denise for Romaunt.
PGB (5) 1 Robinson's Tagundnacht the Girl. Two year old bitch., with a
lovely outline, rather close coated. Very nice head of excellent planes,
excellent earset. Good neck which could be longer for overall balance, nicely
angulated, true front. Excellent topline, and hindquarters. Scored in her free
easy side action and her excellent rear action. 2. Petal Rebecca von Tagundnacht,.
Another lovely bitch, coming up to six years of age and I was not surprised to
be told she is the dam of above. Very nice head, rather deeper earset. Excellent
neck and forehand, not exaggerated in keel, deep in body, presented in excellent
coat. Free side action. 3. Tendrow Replayed in Red.
LB (3 ) 1. Paskins' Sonic Fancy Free at Kindeace. Close coated bitch of
lovely outline, three years old, so nice and mature. Very nice head, with eyes
well set, clean neck, Nicely angulated forequarters and stands good and true.
Rather deeper in body. Excellent line over the topline, croup and tailset,
excellent hindquarters. Easy un-exaggerated and true mover. 2. Quitrutec Somehow
Here at Toftwick. Very nice five year old, lovely old-fashioned head with very
nice earset, good neck, nicely angulated forehand, but legs rather old-fashioned
as seen from the front, with crook. Moved truly however, when coming towards
me. Nice topline and hindquarters, nice side action and good coming and going
away. Excellent coat quality. 3. Petal Rebecca von Tagundnacht.
OB (6) Overall a wonderful class, all the bitches of very high quality
and I note as I am writing this that no wonder, as all six are champions!! 1, CC
and Best of Breed: Patton's Ir. Ch. Lesandnic Lily Agnes. Three year old
bitch, for me outstanding in terms of size, outline and over all balance. I am
not surprised that she is by a Swedish sire, as she is such a lovely combination
of the Continental and British types. Lovely head of correct planes and
proportions, eyes well placed., good neck and correct front, stands so true
here. For me just the right depth of body, with good keel and underline.
Excellent coupling, lovely tailset and hindquarters. Free active mover, correct
as seen from all angles. Coat of excellent quality, I would probably prefer her
not quite so close coated, but that is from my Swedish standpoint where a bit
more coat covering the body would be more functional and protective. 2. and res
CC Ch. Silvae Zest another beautiful bitch in full bloom. Very nice head, with
the slightly longer muzzle which I feel denotes the American influence. Lovely
proportions and outline. Very nice well angulated front with prominent keel,
very true over the front, Excellent topline, somewhat higher tailset. Lovely
strong hindquarters. Moved out very freely covering the ground so well. 3. Ch.
Derochaise Black Orchid.
