DACHSHUND - WIRE HAIRED
I was
dismayed with the amount of exhibits that I found with poor muscle tone, and
also some rather dirty and smelly dogs as well. On the plus sides temperaments
were good and most coats were too. PD (3) 1 Davies' Atahira
Joie De Bleu, happy chap, good head and neck into wellplaced shoulders, well
made rear, lovely bone and good feet. Moved true both ways and held his shape.
2 Robinson's Tagundnacht Mr Bojangles, good head and reach of neck, front
placement ok, hope he doesn't lengthen any more in body, moved well when he
found his stride. 3 Weatherer's Salixian Levante Via Itsuitzuz.
JD (3) 1 Moore's Cloudside Monte Carlo, lovely dog, with good head and
neck, well made front and rear, super body, good legs and feet. Moved out
really well and held his outline, handler and dog just need a bit more practise
together! RCC. 2 Rowe's Boloria's Valentino, lovely head and eye, and super
coat, but not as well made as the winner. 3 Webb & Mifsud's Bassjoy Take A
Chance On Me.
SBD (2, 1) 1 Hooper's Strutting Arch at Starhill, a
confident young man, good head and nice overall shape, a touch too deep in
brisket for me. Moved soundly and with purpose.
PGD (4,0) 1 Gibson's Allfreys Rock Of Gibralter, good head, a bit
short in neck, well made front and rear, would like to see him carry a bit less
weight, moved ok. 2 Derry's Eydehavn Helmsley at Andlouis, lovely head and
neck, shoulders a bit forward, tailset was rather high, moved true at both
ends. 3 Webb & Mifsud's Bassjoy Take A Chance On Me.
LD (7,0) 1 Vine's Allfreys To Catch A Thief at Cishelvine, a lovely
dog with nothing exaggerated. Lovely head and neck flowing into well placed
shoulders, good rear, you could really see what a lovely shape this dog is on
the move, as his handler did not always show him off to his best advantage.
Moved out well with a free and east stride. 2 Seath's Sunsong Whisper A
Promise, not a flashy dog, but sound and well made, good head and lovely eye
colour for a chocolate, good front and rear and like the winner had a sound and
easy movement.
3 Downes Aventine You Only Live Twice.
OD (5,0) 1 Dible's Multi Ch Lieblings Stormin Norman, what a lovely
dog. Nothing flashy or exaggerated about him, but he his so sound and your
hands just flow over him. He moved around the ring so well. Presented in
fantastic condition. CC & BOB. 2 Moore & Coverley's Ch Ex Sentia I'm Bond James
Bond (Imp), really liked this balanced dog who moved soundly around the ring.
However, he was carrying a bit too much weight over his shoulders, and must
have left the house in a hurry as he was only wearing his underwear! 3
McCalmont's Ch Silvae Zealot.
PB (10,1) 1 Bates & Maes-Jones's Derochaise Elegancia, nice
typy baby, lovely head & neck into good shoulders, good rear and topline. Was
the best mover in this class. 2 Warren's Wagsford Florance, good quality
balanced puppy, with pleasing head. Better presentation on the front end would
help. Moved well.3 Robinson's Tagundhacht the Gypsy Girl.
SBB (2, 1) 1 Smith' Eydehavn Ophelia, happy girl who move ok once she
settled, needs to body up.
PGB (7, 1) 1 Dible's Lieblings End of the Rainbow, another quality red
from this kennel, like her father nothing overdone and lovely flowing lines &
super movement. RCC 2McPherson & Paterson's Ambiesque Advent For Brumberhill,
good head and neck flowing into super front assembly, was in really hard
condition & had a fantastic coat. Was giving her handler a hard time today &
not giving her best. Moved out well, but I preferred the rear movement of 1. 3
Rollinson's Nosinllor Artemis.
LB (7, 1) Pughe & Fraser's Bystock Pussy Galore, lovely size, good
make and shape. Feminine head, well made front and good rear. Held her topline
at all times and moved out well. Won this class with ease. 2 Watson's Quitrutec
Somehow Here at Toftwick, nice girl with good head & neck, good body & rear,
would like to see her moved a a better pace. Super coat. 3 Robinson's
Tagundnacht the Girl.
OB (6) 1 Bated & Maes-Jones's Ch Derochaise Black Orchid, lovely girl
with flowing lines, good head & neck, well made front & rear, good body & she
really moved so soundly around the ring. CC.2 Mc Calmont's Ch Silvae Zest,
another quality exhibit, lovely head & neck, not quite the front of 1, a bit
too over angulated at the rear for my taste, but kept her outline at all times.
Beautifully put down.3 Moore's Ch Molloney Ann Other at Romanchi.
SVB (2,1) 1 Gibson's Allfreys Genevieve JW, belies her age,
good make & shape & floated around the ring.
