I enjoyed judging Standard Wires, there
were some high quality dogs, temperaments were excellent.
PD(1) 1 Moore's Cloudside Monte Carlo. 11 mths old, lovely head and expression,
good outline for his age, well angulated behind, good bone, feet could be
tighter, good coat, moved well.
JD(3) 1 Seath's Sunsong Whisper A Promise. Good size, a very typical dog,
pleasing head, good forechest, sound mover, topline could be a touch firmer on
the move, in good coat, well presented. 2 Hooper's Strutting Arch At Starhill.
Red masculine dog, pleasing in head, good reach of neck, needs to develop a bit
more in front, very good body and topline, not quite the movement of winner. 3
Rowe's Boloria Valentino.
PGD(2) 1 Vine's Allfreys To Catch A Thief At Cishelvine. I was impressed by this
young dog, just right for age, lovely head and expression, very good neck and
front, good body and firm topline, excellent coat, moved freely. Pleased to
award him CC. 2 Gibson's Allfreys Rock Of Gibralter. Litter brother, quite
similar, just not in coat, preferred head of winner, good body, strong
hindquarters.
LD(7, 1)A difficult class. 1 Downes' Aventine You Only Live Twice. Masculine
dog, pleasing in outline, long well shaped head, very good expression, good
forechest, in good coat. Best mover in this class. 2 Azima's Boloria's Nikolai.
Slightly deeper in body, very good head and expression, good reach of neck, firm
topline, good coat, moved ok. 3 Rollinson's Bystock Double O' Seven At Nosinllor.
OD(5, 2) 1 Dible's Multi Ch/Blood Ch Lieblings Stormin Norman. Well known red
dog, full of quality, well balanced, pleasing in head, very good neck and
forechest, well developed body, strong hindquarters, in good coat, moved well,
not giving his very best. RCC. 2 Coverley's Aventine Tropic Thunder. A close
decision as I liked this dog a lot, excellent coat, pleasing head, very good
neck, forechest and body, firm topline, just lost on movement. 3 McCalmont's Ch
Silvae Zealot.
VD/B(2) 1 Gibson's Allfreys Genevieve. Loved his movement and attitude, lovely
head, very good expression, excellent neck, good body, not in his best coat,
super temperament. GCD/B (2) 1 Smith's Salixian Eclat. Very good size, pleasing
head, good bone and feet, topline could be firmer, moved ok.
PB(3) 1 Rowe's Derochaise Atlantica To Boloria. Feminine young bitch, well
presented, pleasing in head and body, good neck, coat needs a trim. 2 Smith's
Salixian Leveche. In good coat, good head and expression, good body for age,
topline a bit soft and not giving her best on the move. 3 Scott's Yallambee
November Delight.
JB(4, 2) 1 Rollinson's Nosinllor Artemis. Excellent young bitch. Liked her a
lot, 17 mths old, pleasing in size and outline, lovely head and expression,
needs to develop a bit more in front, good body and firm topline, very good bone
and feet, sound mover. 2 Vine's Cishelvine Echoes Of The Sea. Not giving her
best, good body, bone and well angulated behind, a bit unsettled in movement.
PGB(5) 1 Rollinson's Nosinllor Artemis. 2 McPherson &Paterson's Ambiesque Advent
For Brumberhill. A quality bitch, lovely outline, pleasing in head, firm topline,
well angulated, in excellent coat. Today not helping her handler. 3 Brown's
November Storm For Ablebody.
LB(6) 1 Barney's Molloney On Denise For Romaunt. Top presentation, lovely
feminine quality bitch with an excellent head, long neck, very good forechest,
firm topline, moved freely, a very typical Dachshund. RCC. 2 Coverley's Aventine
Shaken Not Stirred. Close up. This is a lovely bitch with excellent forechest,
firm topline and a sound mover. 3 Pughe &Fraser's Bystock Pussy Galore.
OB(7, 4) 1 McCalmont's Ch Silvae Zest. Outstanding bitch, a true Dachshund,
great head, neck and front, well angulated, excellent coat, sound mover, put
down to perfection. CC and BOB. 2 Pughe &Fraser's Bystock Black Truffle JW.
Another quality bitch, both with excellent lines, excellent head, neck and body,
sound mover, preferred coat of winner. 3 Seath's Sunsong Wish Upon A Star.
