Thank you to The Great Joint Dachshund Association of the invitation to Award CC's in Wire Haired Dachshunds for the first time.  I enjoyed my judging appointment very much.  I was surprised to see so many level bites in the breed, but other than that on the whole I thought the variety in good shape, super temperaments and size is beginning to improve.  Just a little note, to practice standing your dogs in a mirror, to see how they are standing.  Some did not have the shape stacked only because they didn't want to do it and were a totally different dog on the move, So I judged more on the move. Puppy Dog (2 Entries)

Two nice dog puppies to start the day
1st: COVERLEY Aventine Jamaica Inn

A lovely young dog, very full of himself today, and lacking coat.  But when he did put his mind to it, gave a lovely outline standing and moving. Nice size, well ribbed,  Lovely head and eye, super reach of neck and moving with a good stride and very sound coming and going.  Just playing the clown in the challenge for Best Puppy today.

2nd: ROLLINSON Bellavin Invincible at Nosinllor

Another very nice puppy dog, Super coat, lovely presentation, Super Head and eye. lovely outline standing and moving. Just preferred the movement of the 1st on the day, but close up. Super Temperament

A more compact Dog, nice head and eye shape,  moved well, but would like more reach and drive.  coat needs a little tidying.

Brindle Dog, have done well for in the past, lovely masculine head, although eye could be a shade darker, super coat, lovely outline standing and moving,   Well muscled. hindquarters. Would like more drive and can be a little proud of his tail at times.

2nd: HASTINGS Bardings Benny the Dip
Red, Taller type. Straighten in front than 1st and a little out at elbow, Well muscled, lovely head and eye, coat needs a little tidying.

Super well presented Dark Brindle boy.  Loved his shape,  Super head and expression, all male.. excellent tight coat.  Lovely feet. Plays the clown at times and gives his handler a hard time, but when he gets into his stride he is all I ask for in a dachshund.  His 3rd CC on the day congratulations and BOB to boot.  Gave a lovely performance in the big ring for BIS was very proud of him.
2nd: HASTINGS Lesandnic Sublimity ShCM

A red dog have always like, super sound movement.  Well muscled hindquarters . Lovely head and eye and expression, Coat not at its best.

Red Dog, Super presentation and condition on this dog, so well muscled, as was my CC winner.  A little bigger than I like, and does him self no favours stacked at times.  but when he moves gives a fantastic outline and super sound coming and going.  lovely expression and eye shape, lovely type.  pleased to award him RCC & RBOB
2nd: PHILLIPS Ch Cishelvine Swellegant Guy at Tendrow JW

Another brindle male I liked very much,
More the size and type I like, but was being super naughty today.  Loved his head, super shape, well presented coat.  lovely reach of neck, well muscled  hindquarters, moved well, but Rufus really pulled it out of the bag on the day for me with his movement.

Loved this really sweet baby, gorgeous head and eye, lovely reach of neck and well developed front.  loved her neat hindquarters. Lovely size, Super shape in profile standing and moving.  needs to tighten behind.  but her overall shape and balance won her Best Puppy in Breed. 

2nd:MAY Waggington Diamond

Another nice little baby girl, not the front of 1st, but a lovely shape with good reach of neck.  and moves freely and keeps a good topline  lovely tight jacket and sweet head and expression.

Nice head and eye.  Lovely type, with good ground clearance. Won on her movement.  Nice baby.  Coat just ready for stripping.

2nd: SMITH Tendrow Rouge Et Noire at Salixian
Red Bitch. lovely outline standing, but losing it when moving.  A little heavy today, and needs to tighten in movement.  good reach of neck, pretty head and expression.

Very nice red bitch, lovely head and expression, super reach of neck, needs to body up a little more and little more coat to complete the picture, well handled by her handlers, who neither was her owner, so a credit to the bitches temperament.  Super sound mover, a bitch I'm sure will do well in the not to distant future.
2nd: PATERSON Ambiesque Agna

Loved the shape of this bitch stacked.  lovely head and expression. good reach of neck. super hindquarters.  moves well in profile and rear movement good, but moving close in front.

A nice honest bitch, lovely mover, but very a reluctant show girl. Lovely head and expression. good reach of neck. nice type.  just preferred her movement to the 2nd

Dark Brindle. Thought this my winner at first. but would not co-operate today at all, Nice size. super outline stacked lovely reach of neck, good front. super hind angulations.  But just did not want to put the effort in to move today.  Such a pity a super bitch.

not a Flashy type, but a good honest workmanlike type bitch. Lovely head, super shape. Correct ground clearance, moves with Extension and drive. Very presented coat. The dog for me just looked more of a piece in the challenge. BCC & BOS

A Red Bitch I have always admired.  love her super head and expression.  lovely outline and super hind angulation. Beautifully presented, but not giving her all today, just lacking the enthusiasm of the winner.  Reserve CC
