Thank you for the invitation to judge, I really enjoyed by day.

I was delighted with my principal winners: however we do need to watch front construction and hind action in some is erratic. Coats have improved, most had a decent topcoat with correct undercoat, leg hair is improving. Teeth were generally clean and I only found one level bite. I was surprised at how filthy my hands were after judging and some exhibits would have benefit greatly from getting a good grooming and it was apparent by muscle tone that some dogs are not exercised enough! I was pleased to see that size is getting better, there were more correct ones than not and temperaments all through were wonderful.

V D/B  (6, 1 abs)

1st North-Row’s Ir Ch Barmaud Jacob,  dark brindle, good coat, feet could be tighter, strong bone, masculine head, good angles front and rear, well filled forechest, plenty of ribbing and correct topline, tailset a shade high, sound parallel movement.  BVIS

2nd Bates & Maes-Jones’ Waterman’s Martha of Derochaise, pretty bitch, shade fine in bone, has enough forechest, and has a correct topline, well angled and sound mover.

3rd  Phillip’s Ch Saxonbury Playday at Tendrow

GC D/B (2)

1st  Smiths Salixian Elise. Lovely sized brindle bitch, tailset a shade high, has good ribs and correct topline, pretty head, with good neck, well placed shoulder, has tight feet, well angled hindquarters, moved out soundly, lovely temperament.

2nd  Patton’s Int/ Ir Ch Lesandic Larrson, superbly coated dark brindle, masculine head,  has excellent ribs, prefer a shade more fill in front, hindquarters OK, moved out soundly and great temperament.

MPD  (3)

1st  Borman’s Kindeace Dizzy Rascal, brindle baby with excellent bone and feet, very good head and eye, long ribs, well bodied, with correct angulated hindquarters, moved as well as could be expected for an exuberant baby. BPD

2nd   Vine’s Cishelvine Red Admiral, very raw red baby, beautiful head and neck, excellent forequarter construction, with matching hind end, prefer shade more rib and at present a shade too long for balance, he needs to fill his frame and was not co-operating with his handler.

3rd    Bubb’s Teckelgarth Leap of Faith

P/D (1)

1st Rowe’s Bolorias Cadbury Surprise. Choc, lovely head, prefer more bone for size, has enough forechest, and shoulders are OK, Has enough ribbing and he moved out well.

JD (2)

These are two half brothers and are very similar in type, a close decision; just felt the first moved out better in the rear.

1st    Davies Atahira Joie De Bleu , RDCC.  Dark brindle with super coat, lovely size,  good bone and feet, lovely head, super forequarter construction, ribs go well back, well angulated hindquarters, good tailset, moved out smartly, more maturing to do but a lovely prospect.

2nd   Weather’s Salixian Levante Via Itsuitzuz, good coated brindle, has most of the attributes of winner, would have just preferred a shade more forechest.

YD (0)

PGD (3)

Difficult class

1st Paskin’s Kindeace Blue Savanah, dark good coated brindle, has a well filled forechest, and nicely angled hind end, nice head, enough bone, feet could be tighter, looked well stacked but lost topline when moving.

2nd    Hooper’s Strutting Arch at Starhill, red, coat OK, lovely head and super temperament, he is a bit straight at both ends but had good ribs and correct topline, a bit ploddy when he moves.

3rd   Derry’s Eydehavn Helmsley at Andlouis

LD (4)

1st Singleton’s Tendrow Drumm Crazy Jethard, softer coated brindle, loved his type, has a masculine head, good lay of shoulder and is well angled front and rear, has plenty of ribbing and with a super temperament, needs to kick out more at rear, tummy taps a bit.

2nd   Gibson’s Allfreys Rock of Gibraltar. Super coated dark brindle, loved his head and correct eye, good size, would prefer shade more forechest, had good ribbing with nice hindquarters, steady mover.

3rd  Rollisnson’s Bystock Double O’Seven at Nosnillor

OD (4)

1st Vine’s Allfreys To Catch a Thief at Cishelvine. Brindle, love him, filled my eye completely, sound effortless mover, for me fits the new standard, masculine head, good neck with well laid shoulder and return of upper arm, well ribbed, correct topline, super hindquarters,  he was my BP last time I judged and he has matured into a fine adult, DCC, his 3rd and BOB. RBIS

2nd  Phillip’s Ch Cishelvine Swellegant Guy, lovely size brindle with a great temperament, has a good head,  would prefer a shade more forechest, enough ribs and good topline, well angulated hindquarters, he is a challenge to his handler. Obviously a good sire, several of his offspring shown here today.

3rd Lewis –Crooks Barmaud Rufus

MPB (2,2abs)

PB (6,2abs)

1st  Vine’s Cishelvine Cazadokes, brindle, lovely shape, very pretty head, has lovely angles fore and rear, good ribs and topline, needs time to fill her frame but a very nice puppy, sired by my DCC.  BP and BPIS.

2nd  Vine’s Cishelvine Vanilla Rum, litter sister to winner, very similar, a shade softer in coat and elbows could be a shade tighter but is very raw and may well tighten as she matures.

2 beautiful puppies.

3rd  Gibson’s Allfreys Greta Garbo

JB (0)

YB(7)

1st Patton’s Ir Ch Bardings By the Way, crisp coated red, won this class on her lovely free movement, very pretty head, good forechest, well laid shoulder, good ribs and topline, well angulated hindquarter, super temperament, needs to mature but a lovely bitch.

2nd  Bates & Maes-Jone’s Derochaise Elegancia, very pretty dark brindle, lovely size, would prefer shade more forechest but is well angled front and rear, just preferred movement on the first.

3rd  Wharton’s Derochaise Zigana

PGB (2)

1st   Lewis-Crook’s Black Beauty by Kormeese Creado (Imp Pol), brindle, lovely size, moved a shade narrow in front but went very well. Very pretty head, lovely shoulders, well angulated hindquarters, balanced and looks as well stacked as she does moving, neat feet, coat is ok but could do with some attention on her leg hair.

2nd   Vine’s Cishelvine Echoes of the Sea, Brindle of lovely type, maybe just a shade too long for balance so lost her topline slightly when she moved. Good forequarter and hindquarter construction.

LB (7, 3abs)

1st   Rollonson’s Nosnillor Artemis. Harsh coated brindle, lovely size, well laid shoulder, good bone for size, could be a shade more angulated behind but she is a lovely free mover with enough ground clearance, well ribbed.

2nd   Rowe’s Derochaise Atlantica to Boloria. Dark brindle, very pretty, coat could be a tad harsher and would prefer a shade more forechest, well angulated hindquarter, good ribs and neat feet, just lost topline slightly when moving.

3rd   Singelton’s Tendrow Dance with You Jethard

OB(5)

5 lovely bitches, all different in type, splitting hairs between them

1st  Pughe& Fraser’s Ch Bystock Pussy Galore. Most wonderful moving harsh coated brindle, not glamorous but sound and workmanlike. Not overly keen on her head but has good neck, well laid shoulder and she really uses her rear when she moves, long ribs, well balanced and tight feet. You can see she is well exercised, as she was one of the very few to have good muscle tone and coped with the circuits of the ring easily. Beautifully presented and handled. BCC

2nd  Phillips Ch Tendrow Peaches. Red, well balanced, not overdone anywhere, very pretty head, has good shoulders, enough forechest, prefer a shade longer in ribs, benefit from a touch more angulation behind, steady mover, lovely temperament. RBCC

3rd  Bates & Maes-Jones Ch Derochaise Black Orchard
