I had a pleasing entry for my first time awarding CCs in this breed. There were some uncomfortable hair splitting decisions.  There are some very promising youngsters to follow.

Coats and presentation with only a couple of exceptions were a credit, very good harsh tight coats.

Head furnishings distinctive of this breed were in some not at their best.

Overall mouths were very good all had clean teeth, and only a couple had level bites.

There were some flat feet and long nails which may be due to the difficulty exercising dogs in the current awful weather conditions.

Soundness when moving away and returning was little unsteady at times in the space available but most showed a good profile action with good reach and follow through.

Thank you to the exhibitors for their patience while my stewards Martin Saunders and Peter Higgins efficiently sorted out the printers errors in my paperwork.

 

 

Junior Dog

1st AVENTINE THE KING’S GENERAL (Miss. D. Hinder)

Handsome dark eyed youngster of good size. Prominent forechest and firm front assembly. Has a good depth of keel and ribbing. Firm, well angulated rear. Easy movement coming to and going away while holding a good topline.

2nd AVENTINE JAMAICA INN (Mrs. L. Coverley)

A quality dog with all the same attributes as 1 his litter brother, I’m sure these two will go far.

Limit Dog

1st  ALLFREY’S ROCK OF GIBRALTAR (Miss. C. Gibson) 

A good head leading to a good reach of neck. Strong forechest, good ribbing & loin proportions. Well angulated rear. Moved with drive and purpose

2nd ABLEBODY RAZZMATZZ (Mrs. R. Clifford)

Masculine head, well angulated front and hindquarters. Effortless movement keeping a firm topline.

Eye catching, balanced dog with an excellent coat. Classic head with a dark almond eye, strong neck into well placed shoulders, firm strong body of correct depth with long ribbing and short loin. Strong, well angulated rear. Moved confidently and easily. Presented in superb condition.

               Another eye catching dog, masculine head, good length of neck with well laid shoulders, super front assembly, well angulated firmhindquarters. Sound effortless mover, correct topline,

Very attractive youngster. Lovely type and size, balanced throughout, with an excellent coat.

Moved out confidently keeping a correct topline.

2nd STELLA VIT DE WOEZIK AT HALUNKE (D. Norton)

Pretty head, well angulated front and hindquarters and a good coat. Still very much a baby.

Puppy Bitch

1st  SILVAE SOLO (D. & K. McCalmont) BPB & BP

Litter sister to previous class winner with all the same quality attributes. Movement not as steady as her litter sisters’ in the class but when challenging for BP she was very well behaved and gave a good account of herself.

2nd SOMNIFERAM FLYIN HIGH ( H. Littleworth)

Smart brindle bitch of a larger type than 1. Coat not quite as crisp  A little shy but was fine to be handled.

Junior Bitch

1st CISHELVINE ENIGMA OF THE SEA (R. Vine)

Lovely brindle, classic head, elegant neck, well laid shoulders, good amount of forechest, depth of keel and ribbing and strong rear with good tailset.

2nd  TENDROW ROUGE ET NOIRE AT SALIXIAN ( I.S. Smith)

Neat, red bitch. Lovely head and expression, elegant reach of neck. Good proportions fore and aft.

Post Graduate Bitch

1st CISHELVINE AUGUST BREEZE WITH HOTWIRE (Miss. A. Baxter)

Very elegant bitch. Lovely head with the darkest of eyes. Good reach of neck, depth of keel with ribbing well back. Well angulated rear and good tailset. Very confident on the move presenting a good overall picture.

2nd ROMANCHI BELLA BELLA (Mrs. A. Moore)

Sturdier built than 1, but of a good size with a good body and ribbing, short loin, good rear angulation.

A firm topline on the move.

Limit Bitch

Lovely head and expression, elegant clean neck, well laid shoulders and good forechest. Long ribbing and keel. Strong well angulated rear, good tail set. sound coming and going, lovely profile.

2nd BOLORIA’S NAUGHTY BUT NICE ( Mrs. J. & R. RoNice head and kind eye. Good reach of neck, ribbing and keel. Well angulated rear, good tail set.

Open Bitch

1st            1st SUNSONG WISH UPON A STAR ( S. Seath) BCC & BOS

                Beautiful, quality, elegant brindle bitch with super conformation, excellent front and shoulders, Lovely in profile, moved out with ease and confidence. Beautifully presented.

2nd SILVAE QUARTET  ( D. & K. McCalmont) RBCC

A lovely quality bitch with super head and eye. Good reach of neck, good front and ribbing carried well back.

Lovely in profile moved easily and true. Beautifully presented. This was a super class with some wonderful bitches – splitting hairs throughout.
