Thank you for giving me a lovely
entry for my first time judging the Standard Wires. It was excruciatingly
hot, and some of the dogs maybe suffered from the heat, plus the ground was
uneven, which may have affected their movement. However, sadly I found many
upright shoulders, and a lot of dogs "pinned in behind". Temperaments were
without exception wonderful, and the atmosphere and applause ringside was
appreciated.
PD (4) A lovely class of puppies to
start the day's judging. 1 Smith's Jethard Two To Tango At Salixian. What a
cracker!!! Red brindle boy. Masculine head, strong neck, excellent shoulder
placement, good length of rib, harsh coat. I really couldn't take my eyes
off this boy, he has ring presence and at 8 months he strode out well with
confidence, so sound on the move. He almost won top honours from me. BP and
RCC. 2 Phillips' Tendrow Replayed In Blue. Good coat, very immature compared
with the winner, when he settled he moved soundly enough to secure his
place. 3 Langridge's Tendrow Elberta.
PGD (2) 1 Vine & Baxter's Cishelvine
Red Admiral. Red, reasonable shoulders, good hind angulation. 2 Paskin's
Tendrow Replays The Red Guy At Kindeace. Liked his head. LD (8, 2) 1
Coverley's Aventine Jamaica Inn. Brindle boy, only 18 months, good shoulder
placement, prominent prosternum, good length of ribbing. Correct hind
angulation. True flowing movement, covering the ground with ease. An honest
example of the breed. CC. 2 Weatherer's Salixian Levante Via Itsuitzuz.
Brindle. Good shoulder placement, but lacking the length of rib of first. 3
Moore's Metawand Bogen By The Sea.
OD (2, 1) 1 Downes' Aventine You Only
Live Twice. Dark brindle, nearly 4 yrs old. Handsome head carried proudly. I
liked him, but felt he didn't pull out the stops in the challenge.
VD (1) 1 Vine's Cishelvine Sea Swell.
8 yr old brindle, moved out well, a credit to his breeder. The youngsters
outshone him today.
PB (3) 1 Moore's Romanchi Mi'Kmaq.
Brindle girl, almost 10 months, neat compact bitch, lovely head carried
well, good shouldersn sufficient length of rib, good hind angulation, moved
true fore and aft. BPB. 2 Davis' Knottsrose Anemone. Nice head, good length
of rib, not the angulation behind as first. 3 Vine's Cishelvine Sandy
Shore.
JB (3) 1 Phillips' Hototo Swellegant
Gal At Tendrow. Dark brindle, well angulated behind, moved true both ways. 2
Vine's Gravetye Kiss Me Kate Cishelvine. Red girl, well angulated, but
didn't cover the ground well today. 3 Paterson's Ambiesque Allure.
PGB (7, 1) 1 Gibson's Allfreys
Sternchen Alrish. Won this strong class. She's a lovely compact bitch,
totally unexaggerated. Feminine head, excellent shoulder placement,
prominent prosternum, good length of rib, Movement correct. RCC. 2
Coverley's Aventine Dawn Patrol. Nice type, looked lovely stacked, but not
the hind extension of first on the move. 3 Smith's Tendrow Rouge Et Noire At
Salixian.
LB (3) 1 Eldred's Brimarville Honey
Bun. Dark brindle girl, fourth in PGB, nice type who strode out covering the
ground well, won this class with ease. 2 Vine's Cishelvine Echoes Of The
Sea. Sadly she tended to poke her head forward on the move, which spoiled
her outline. 3 Rowe's Boloria's Naughty But Nice.
OB (3, 1) 1 Cloudside Lara. What a
smasher! 5 yr old brindle. Lovely head, solid well covered body, harsh coat.
Correct shoulder angulation, good length of ribbing, well angulated behind.
She may be a little large for some peoples' taste, but I found she was
unexaggerated and "all of a piece". Couldn't fault her effortless movement!
Definitely fit for purpose! CC and BOB. 2 Eldrid's Brimarville Honey Bun.
