Dachshunds Wire-Haired
Junior Dog: 1st Mrs T Burns BRAWVIEW BILBO BAGGINS This puppy stood alone with his novice exhibitor and perhaps due to a recent operation should not have been shown. He is definitely foreign in type with a good head, neck and ribbing and a good front. He has an excellent coat texture and should look more the part with a full coat. His movement was not good due in part to his recent operation.
Post Graduate Dog: 1st Mrs S Kennedy STRABATHIE DEXTOR, This is a smart dog with masculine head and eye, and correct bite. He has a good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders and a level topline, finishing with a good strong tail. His keel is prominent and he has enough ribbing. To be critical he is a bit too close in front and long in the loin. Perhaps leaving a bit more coat on him would finish the picture. His coat is the harshest ever and he moved freely around the ring. A good one to start with for these new exhibitors.
Open Dog: Mr K S & Mrs S Paskin TENDROW REPLAYS THE RED GUY AT KINDEACE. This red dog is a good size not too big with a masculine head, good eye and correct bite. To be critical I would like a more prominent keel and more length to his upper arm. He is a bit out of coat at the moment but it is of a reasonable texture. He came into his own when he moved around the ring the best in his class. BOS 2nd Mrs S Kennedy, STRATHBATHIE DEXTOR. 3rd Mr B C & Mrs J A Baldwin, AVENTINE SCOTTSBLUFF.

Open Bitch 1st Mr R & Mrs J Maxwell, BARDRESTAN QUEEN O’THE SOUTH. This 3 year old bitch was looking the best that I have seen her. She has a good strong head with the correct shaped eye and plenty furnishing. A well arched neck flowing into correct shoulders and level topline. She has a prominent keel with a correct front assembly and plenty of ribbing the best here today. There is enough angulation both back and front which she used to travel effortlessly around the ring.
