I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge the Wire Haired Dachshunds without CC’s, at their breed club show held in conjunction with the Leeds Championship Show. Although not a numerically strong entry I enjoyed the challenge and thank the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to evaluate their dogs. Temperament of all dogs was excellent
DACHSHUND - WIRE HAIRED
Puppy Dog (1)
Graham’s Brumberhill Armstrong, 6 month youngster, sturdy and short coupled, well ribbed body with harsh coat well furnished for age, pleasing head, dark eyes, tapering muzzle, strong jaw with correct bite. Moved out well for age. BPD
Junior Dog (1)
Adam’s Wyldetarn Shoot From the Hip JW, 16 month youngster, well balanced all through, conical shaped head with dark almond shaped eyes, slightly arched muzzle, correct bite, well furnished. Good reach of neck set into well laid shoulders, ample forechest, well ribbed with ample depth and good underline, yet still with plenty of ground clearance, moved out well coming and going. Res BD

Gibson’s Allfreys London Look, 20 month red dog, short coupled, with good neck and laid back shoulders, leading to level topline, prominent oval forechest, well set between straight forelegs, moved well coming and going.

Gibson’s Allfreys Helena, loved this youngster, full of mischief, took a while to settle on move but once she did, she used her rear quarters to drive out well. Not an oversized bitch, short coupled, with strong reachy neck, set into well laid back shoulders, prominent forechest, well rounded thorax, set between straight front legs, good keel. She is ribbed well back with short loin and strong well angulated rear, complete with harsh wiry coat and furnishings, pleased to award her Best Puppy and Res Best Bitch

Hutchings Tendrow I am the One from Collidach JW, 22month bitch, who presents a lovely outline in profile. Conicle shaped head tapering to strong slightly arched muzzle, dark almond shaped eyes, she excels in neck well laid back into shoulders, prominent forechest, oval front, with correct keel giving required underline, well ribbed back with level topline and strong well muscled rear quarters, moved out well pleased to award her Best Bitch & BOB
Maxwell’s Bardrestan Queen of the South, 3 year old bitch, well furnished tapering muzzle to head, prominent forechest, level topline a little higher on leg than winner giving ample ground clearance, moved out well.

Binks Cishelvine Just This Once, just under 3 years, sturdy bitch with well sprung rib of good depth, moderate neck, ample forechest, leading to full oval chest, tapering underline, well turned stifle, moved out well with level topline, just a little proud of her tail at times today.
