Numerically quite a decent entry, but because of location probably not representative of this variety at the moment. However, I though the depth of quality here was excellent, and in my view Wires are the strongest variety at the moment. Temperaments were excellent as you would expect in Wires. There were a few soft coats. Most were probably longer than ideal, but this isn’t a Wire issue. A few high and sickle hocks. I think the breed is in a very good place at the moment. Puppy D (3) 1st: MCCALMONT Mr & Mrs D & K Silvae Trader 11 mths d with a lovely outline, but plenty of him. Super head, long and strong. Lovely eye and expression. Lengthy neck. Best shoulder in class. Excellent forechest. Well ribbed, just a bit long in the loin. Well made rear. Has a lengthy stride, can firm up out and back still. In super coat. 2nd: CLIFFORD Mrs R Sussexdaxi Gooseberry Fool For Ablebody Lovely temperament. He has a super head. Best size of these 3. Long neck. Better shoulder than 3. Well ribbed, but also long in loin. V good rear with low hocks. Can firm in front. Coat coming through. 3rd: NORMAN Miss C Silvae Trade Name Junior D (6) Really super class of young Wires. 1st :WHARTON Ms L Greyhayne Hooray Henry He has a super outline, so v well balanced and unexaggeraed. He is a little strong in skull. Lengthy muzzle. Good eye and expression. Long neck. Well laid shoulder, longer in upper arm than 2. Well ribbed back. Topline is level on move. Super rear. Lovely temperament and in super coat. Long free stride. Thought his quite lovely CC 2nd: MAES-JONES, Mrs E K & BATES Miss V Derochaise Manhatton Liked his outline v much. B/T with a v good coat. Preferred his head to 1. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder. Can firm in pastern. Well ribbed. Super topline. Enough hind angulation. Holds his shape on the move. Could just have a longer stride, but a close contender for the green cards. 3rd: WARREN Mrs A Waggington Manhatten Of Wagsford Post Grad D (1) 1st: WILLS Mrs K Cicelane Magnus He has a super temperament. Lovely head, dark eyes. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder. He is short and upright in upper arm. Well ribbed. Could lose a little weight. V good rear with low hocks. Uses his rear v well on the move. Coat of a v good texture. Limit D (2) 1st: NORMAN Miss C Silvae Klansman Lots to like about him. He has a long head. Super eye and expression. Long neck. Could be slightly better in shoulder and upper arm. Well sprung ribs. Good forechest. Well bent stifle, stands a bit sickle hocked. Accurate up and back. In super coat. 2nd:WILLS Mrs K Cicelane Magnus Open D (3) First 2 of v different types, and things to admire about both. 1st:WHARTON, Ms E A & PUGHE Ms H M Ch Derochaise Black Tarquin Won on his excellent profile action. Elegant but masc d who is a bit longer than ideal. Has a v good head. Long neck. Quite a good front with enough forechest. Level topline. Super rear with a slope to his croup. Could have a harsher coat. RCC 2nd: SEATH Mrs S Ch Zlowfox Av Larhjelm At Sunsong (Imp Nor) His proportions are excellent and the most super coat. Masc head with lovely eye and expression. Enough neck. Fairy well laid shoulder, could be longer in upper arm. Well bodied. Level topline. Well bent stifle, just a little high in hock. Accurate mover. 3rd: WILLS Mrs K Cicelane Magnus Sp Beginners D. (1) 1st: WILLS Mrs K Cicelane Magnus Sp Beginners B (2) 1st: PRIOR COOPER Mrs A J Silvae Keynote She has a super coat and was the best mover of these 2. Long head. Super eye and expression. Long neck. Quite a good front. Well ribbed. Cuts up in underline. Good hind angles but needs more muscle. Best Sp Beginner, congratulations of your 4th in group. 2nd: ELLIS Mrs A Tendrow One Moment In Time at Vixendax Staked on the table she is a super shape. Liked her head. Long neck. Well made front and rear. Just a bit soft in condition. Not the coat of 1, lots of qualities. Just a bit better in upper arm and forechest than 1. Well sprung ribs. She is slightly long in loin. Well made rear. Super mover. In excellent coat. Delighted to watch her win the Puppy Group. I think she will do very well! RCC. 2nd: SEATH Mrs S Sunsong Keep A Promise Another cracker. She has a super head. Long neck. Well laid shoulder. Just a bit narrow moving in front. More compact than 1. She has a super topline. V good rear. Long and easy stride super coat. 3rd: JEFFREY Ms V Slaintemhath Punch To Judy Junior B (3,1) 1st: JEFFREY Ms V Slaintemhath Fish's Fugazi Floppy baby of 6 months who is v well made and better behind than 2. She has a super head. Dark eyes. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder, long upper arm. Needs to firm in pastern. Well sprung ribs. Topline can firm, well made rear. Just needs to start muscling up. 2nd: PUGHE, Ms H M & FRASER Ms C Ambiesque Ascertain At Bystock Lots to like about her. Lengthy head. Long beck. Well made in front. Super coat, lovely harsh jacket. Level topline. Rather high in hock and slightly sickled, could use her rear better. Post Grad B (3) 1st: 2064 BLISS Mrs C K Tobenkipt Artemis Really liked this fem b. She has a super head. Lovely eye and expression. Long neck. Well laid shoulder. Good forechest. Well sprung ribs. Super rear construction. Tail set could be better. Super coat. Just needs to firm up going away, otherwise a real contender. 2nd: STOCKDALE Ms L Fenwires Limited Edition Not the most cooperative but she is a v good b, a tendancy to sink in front. She has a v good head. Long neck. Good front, well runner. Enough hind angulation. Could be in better coat. Think she would look better with less weight. 3rd: 2068 ELLIS Mrs A Tendrow One Moment In Time at Vixendax Limit B (4) All 4 are really good Wires. 1st: WHARTON Ms L Greyhayne Lotty Merry She is a really good honest Dachshund. Super head, lovely eye and expression. Lengthy neck. Well laid shoulder, correct forechest, better upper arm than 2. She is well ribbed with a short loin. Enough hind angulation. Topline is better moving than standing. More leg hair would improve. V sound. 2nd: ROWE Miss R Boloria's Trick Or Treat JW Standing she is super, not quite the stride of 1. She has a super head. Long neck. Enough forechest. Well ribbed and a fairly short loin. Could be firmer in the rear. She is well proportioned. Super head, dark eyes. Long neck. Well laid shoulder, good slope of upper arm. Correct forechest. Well ribbed. Level topline excellent rear. Super coat. Just a top class b. Judged her 2 years ago and rated her highly then, I think she is even better now with maturity.
