Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge and to the exhibitors for giving me such a super entry of quality exhibits to judge , the cold blustery weather really tested their temperaments, and I was so pleased that not one dog turned a hair at the mini whirlwind that scattered chairs and papers . The temperaments of the wires was delightful - long may breeders retain this characteristic.

Wire-haired

Minor Puppy Dog 2

1st Davies Atahira Cantata ,red 8 month puppy showing good potential. Well shaped head with lovely expression and dark almond eyes, carried on elegant neck of good length flowing into well placed shoulders and correct top-line with good length of ribbing and short loin. Strong hindquarters providing strong drive. Sound on the move showing a lovely profile whilst true coming and going.

2nd Rowe’s Boloria’s Aramis Chocolate baby of different type to the 1st smaller and compact with good proportions. Correct head carried on well-shaped neck leading to correct shoulders and length of ribbing. Exuberant on the move and at this stage not altogether co-ordinated

Puppy Dog. 3

1st Adam’s Tecklegarth Gatling. Well grown all male boy who had that look at me attitude. Well shaped head carried on good length of neck which lead into good shoulders combined with a good length of ribbing and short loin. Strong hindquarters which powered him round the ring. He is still untidy coming and going like a gangly teenager but so pleasing in profile. Another very promising puppy.

2nd Framton’s Weinacht Larch At Drakkina.  Larger puppy still very raw and uncoordinated especially coming and going. Good head and dark eyes giving him a lovely expression. Well arched neck, good length of ribbing carried well back to short loin and strong hindquarters. Hope he has done all his growing and tightens on the move.

3rd.Turner& Merrifield’s Boloria Mr Moonlight.

Junior Dog 7(1)

1st Chambers Cishelvine Just a Kiss With Hototo. The condition of this boy was exemplary. Good head and expression carried on well arched neck would like more layback of shoulders. Deep ribbing well extended to short loin giving a strong top - line held on the move. Strong hindquarters which drive him round the ring.

2nd. Clifford’s Sussexdaxi Fool For Ablebody.  Lighter built type throughout. Pleasing head held on well-shaped neck. Adequate front and length of ribbing. Moved out well but untidy coming and going.
