PD (8) What a good start to the day with some nice male youngsters and the first two hard to split. Both show great promise, are well constructed, notoverlong in loin, they have delightful heads, most expressive eyes, reachy necks and decent angulation. Both were a credit in presentation and in a photo finish I just made the winner come towards me that fraction more positively But I am sure they will have exciting careers. 1 & BP Binks' Tannahill Oslo 2 AdamsTecklegarth Gatling. 3 Davies' Atahira Cantata
JD (4) 1 Graham's Brumberhill Armstrong, such a well balanced handsome headed fellow whose reach of neck enhance his outline and draw the eye. His head is a good shape, the muzzle with that slight arch, the lips well pigmented and tight fitting. He has an adequate spring of rib, they go well back and his loinis supple leading to nicely angulated hindquarters. Showed a smooth, balanced stride as he circled the ring. 2 Chambers' Cishelvine Just A Kiss With Hototo, I thought this light red was just that shade longer cast than Armstrong and hewas not quite so settled in front action coming towards me. I liked his head, eyes, ears and expression, ample neck and a smooth, level backline. He has good hindquarters, so well muscled and his coat is a good texture. 3 Christie's Tannahill Bergen at Decalleigh.
PGD (2,1) 1 Parsons' Cloudside Picture Perfect at Shukriya, I liked his size and length/height proportions. Pleasing head with so expressive and knowing eyes adding to his appeal. Lots of substance, well sprung ribs, nice forechest definition and such good feet. Moved around the ring with a light, free stride showing good hock use.
LD (9) 1 Adams' Wyldetarn Shoot From The Hip, my first impression was of a very smart and so coinfident male with style and that degree of presence. I thought his head was lovely, so balanced, strong foreface, lovely expressive eyes with clear ridges aiding his air of being something special. His neck and outline were pleasing and he moved around the ring showing balance and power. Could finish well. 2 Hinder's Aventine The King's General, lots of substance with this well boned chap. Nicely headed, good eye shape and colour, skull has a soft arch and the ears are carried so well. Good length/height balance, in very good coat and he moved out with ease and power. 3 Vine's Chiselvine Caught Out.
OD (5) 1 & CC McCalmont's Silvae Trader, for me he just came, saw and conquered as he simply looked like my picture of a male standard wire!! Delightful head piece and expression. Classy, stylish, beautifully constructed, such lovely bone, legs and feet, harsh jacket and when he moves he more or less takes off with real purpose and power, suggesting he could hunt all day and never tire. His title must be just a matter of time away. 2 Moore & Downes' Megline Aramis, another quality example of the breed. Shapely on the stack if a shade heavier all through than the winner. I liked his head, not quite the expressive eye I seek but ample underjaw and tight lipped. So well ribbed, good muscle definition aft, in excellent jacket and good to watch on the move. 3 Norman's Silvae Klansman
Sp Beg D (3) 1 & Best Spec Beginners B. Armstrong. 2 Frampton's Weinacht Larch at Drakkina, well off for substance, scores in reach of neck and being really well ribbed with a level back. He has a good headpiece with a pleasing eye and expression. Needs to settle more when moving as he tends toplay his handler up. A credit in coat. 3 Effer's Greyhayne Hector Sp Beg B (1) 1 Clayton-Smith's Cairparavel Kiss From A Rose, what a promising puppy this is. Full of quality, stunning head piece with such a winning expression! She is so well constructed, uses her reach of neck to best advantageand moved around the ring with a very decisive and assured stride.
PB (7) 1 Coverleys Aventine Dolcetto, won here on my liking what I saw when I went over her as she is a bit of a minx when on the ground and needs some ring training to get her to make the most of her virtues! The shape and constructionare there and on the stack she takes the eye. Just persevere. 2 Fitzgerald's Fowlerheight Moonshine at Harlilsun, unfortunately this youngster was almost devoid of jacket which did not help her cause. Nice size, good substance adequate forechest and lovely reach of neck. Not the firmness in backline of Dolcetto as they circled the ring. 3 Dean's Atahira Mocha Surprise for Brontillow.
JB (6/2) 1 C. Kiss From A Rose. 2 Coverley's Aventine Amarela another sadly bereft of coat and furnishings. Long, low, level backed pleasing head and eyes, bags of substance but for some reason she was short stepping on the go around. 3 Vine's Cishelvine Kiss Me Quick
YB (5,2) 1 Wheldon & Earkl's Salixian Image Noire what a sweet bitch this one is. Built on flowing lines using that good neck to best advantage. Clean, one piece head with strong underjaw and tight lips. Her eyes are so expressive, theback firm and she can move with some reach and drive. In excellent coat she deserved this win. 2 Vine's Cishelvine Cant Catch Me, other than being a trifle long cast for my taste - her loin could be shorter - I thought she had much charm. Scores in spring and depth of rib, lovely keel, and strong hocks. Her head handles well and she has such a good muzzle and nose. Not in full coat as yet but went around the ring with a light, free step. 3 Seath's Sunsong KeepA Promise.
PGB (2) 1 Gibson's Allfreys Helena I recall thinking this one looks a real worker, strength yet still totally feminine in head and expression. Her outline flows so smoothly, she has very good angles both ends and uses them to best advantage on the move. 2 Prior-Cooper's Silvae Keynote, not quite the free effortless stride of Helena when they moved around the ring. I liked her head, eyes and expression, nicely angulated in shoulder but a little straight behind. Her coat was well presented and she scores in spring and depth of rib
LB (7) 1 CC & BOB McCalmont's Silvae Trade Secret wow!! Loved her the second she moved around the ring. Nothing I would want to change, she is made right, looks right, moves right, was presented to her best advantage and is a sheer 5 star class item. Her title must be assured very quickly. I see she litter sister to the DCC and that her sister won OB and the RCC. What an amazing achievement for these talented breeders. 2 Connell's Wursthaus Princess Leia at Sonorra this is a really good example of the breed but unfortunately she is carrying too much weight. A joy to go over on the table and despite her excess body, she can certainly move out strongly and with purpose. Slim her down and she will be a threat to most. 3 Vine's Cishelvine Just AnEnigma.
OB (5,1) 1 & Res CC McCalmont's Silvae Trademark, the third member of this remarkable litter and they are almost like peas in a pod. When they made right, they look right and this is another truly excellent example of the breed. Like her litter mates she is shapely, has an air of outstanding quality, is sound as a bell on the move and she had to be in this form to beat 2 Ch Wagsford Jennifer, I was thrilled to read that this bitch is already ennobled as she too is an ever so smart example of a top class Standard Wire. Such a worthy titleholder and Iwould willingly sign a CC for her any day. She has that air of nobility which is hard to get but one can appreciate it. Desperately unlucky to meet the Silvae twins in such form. 3 Rowe's Boloria's Trick or Treat
