PD (2,0) 1 Adams Ellespophia Fly Me to the Moon. Lovely head and eye. Good length of neck with well filled front and correct bone and feet. Correct angles front and rear with ribbing extending well back and holding his topline at all times. He moved soundly up and back with good reach and drive in profile. Good coat and condition. BPD, BP and RBD. 2 Turners Hototos Rocket man. Different in type to the winner, He has more leg and needs to fill his frame. A lovely head and eye, good neck, he was well made with good ribbing, enough front with good bone and feet. He moved soundly and held himself well. In good coat.
JD (1,0) 1 Paterson and Mcphersons Ambiesque Avant. Beautiful type of Dachshund. Excellent Coat. Good ground clearance. Nice head and almond eye. Good length of neck. Ok in shoulder and a little shorter in upper arm. Balanced hindquarters. Held topline well with good ribbing and used himself well on the move.
PGD (1,0) 1 Turner and Merrifields Bolorias Mr Moonlight. Ok in head would like eyes a better shape. Ok in neck, good shoulders and upper arm. Drops down well in front with enough ground clearance. Good ribbing and topline. Moved soundly up and back and in profile. Coat could be better.
LD (3,0) 1 Hutchings and Prices Collidach Percy Cute at Samlane. A lovely dog and a big open mover with great reach and drive. Nice head and eye, good neck and topline. Good ribbing with just enough ground clearance. Really well made with correct angulation. In good condition. Coat could be a touch harsher for me. 2 Mcpherson and Patersons Brumberhill Mr Wilks. A lovely dog who ive judged before. Lovely conical head and correct eye. Good length of neck, ok in shoulders but would like more upper arm. Enough front, good ground clearance. Very good ribbing and topline with correct hindquarters. Moved soundly holding his shape. Excellent coat and condition.3 Matthews Stanegate Billy the Kid at Sonham.
OD (2,0) 1 Phillips Ch Royal Peppers Vice Versa (imp FIN). I loved everything about him, especially his body proportions, correct ground clearance, excellent head, spot on angulation with excellent fore chest and keel. He was so sound on the move and had excellent reach and drive. Excellent coat and condition and had an extra quality about him. Loved him. BD and BOB. 2 Vigs CR Ch Qrrens-Dach Enzo Topazo (imp HUN). Good head and eye. Correct length of neck. Narrower in front than 1 and shorter in upper arm. Ribbing extending well back and held his topline well. Well-made hindquarters. Really good coat, well-muscled and moved ok up and back and in profile.
PB (7,0) 1 Moores Derochaise Black Cherry Cloudside. A beautiful puppy who really took my eye. Lovely head and eye. So lovely to go over with everything in the right place. Had the construction, front, ribbing and topline as well a super sound movement and a really good coat texture especially for a black and tan. Will watch her future with interest. Probably one of the most difficult decisions for BP today as I really thought a lot of her but she just lost out on maturity to the dog for BP. BPB. 2 Coverleys Aventine Aunt Patience. Another nice puppy. Beautiful head and eye shape. Good length of neck. Well laid shoulders, would like a touch more upper arm length. Drops down well in front with good ribbing and keel. Held her topline with good hindquarters which she drove off well from and held her shape. Well presented. 3 Parrots Derochaise Blue Angel at Marondera.
JB (3,1) 1 Phillips Tendrow What I am I am. Another beautiful Dachshund from this kennel. My notes say loved everything about her but just needs more gusto on the move. A beautiful head and eye. So well made, excellent proportions, good front, ribbing and keel. Moved soundly with very good coat. Had she had more about her moving she may have had higher awards. 2 Wallers Lady in Roseyred. Nice enough head, good neck and topline. Dropped down in front well. Good bone and feet. Moved soundly holding a good shape. Coat could have been better texture.
PGB (3,1) 1 Wallers Tendrow Laced with Success. Another lovely bitch. So well made, lovely to go over. Had the head and neck, well laid shoulder and upper arm with balance of hindquarters. Good ribbing and topline, in excellent coat and condition and moved with reach and rive holding her shape. 2 Gibsons Allfreys Cordelia. This bitch wasn’t quite as good in front construction and could have a little less weigh but much the same remarks apply as to 1st. Loved her head and eye. Good topline and front and ribbing. Moved really soundly and held her shape.
LB (3,1) 1 Rowes Boloria Nice N Spicy JW. A truly lovely bitch with good ground clearance, correct angulation, beautiful head, lengthy neck into a well held topline with oval front and good length and depth of rib. She had good proportions, had great reach and rive, was handled really well and had perfect coat and condition. RBB. 2 Phillips Tendrow Wired to Suceed. A bit longer in body than I would like but still a lovely bitch. Balanced head, good neck, into well-made front with good forechest depth and ribbing. Balanced hindquarters. Moved soundly and used herself well.
OB (3,0) 1 Hutchings Ch Collidach Brook Ling. A pleasure to judge this super hound. Has all the essentials in construction and with a super type about her. Ideal body proportions in great coat and condition and she really comes alive on the move with such reach and drive and has an extra sparkle about her with great temperament. Loved her. BB. 2 Gibsons Allfreys Helena. Another super bitch who I considered very highly for top honours and she wasn’t far off. Not much I would change about her. So lovely to go over, correct head and neck, good topline, keel and ribbing. Well made hindquarters. Held herself really well on the move where she was sound and ground covering. 3 Coverleys Aventine Dolcetto.
