I would like to thank the Scottish Dachshund Club committee for their hospitality, for the opportunity to judge at their show. Thank you to my stewards, for their help and support, the only thing that hindered the day was the flooring of the venue, it seemed to be quite slippery for the dogs. I would like to thank all the exhibitors who entered under me and for support for the show.
Wire Haired Dachshund
Veteran
1st Bramalodge Amiety At Derdledash (Miss S A E Eldred) Stood alone but a worthy veteran winner I liked her proportions and ground clearance intelligent expression & a good reach of neck, into lay of shoulder, deep chest and coarse coat – Reserve Best Bitch and delighted to see she received Best Veteran in Show
Junior
1st Derdledash Naughty Neptune (Miss S A E Eldred). I loved his head and expression, with a wonderful coarse Black/ Tan coat. Strong bone and front, with tight elbows, a good lay of shoulder leading to a good length of ribbing, nicely angulated in the rear quarters and neat hocks, strong overall outline and moved well. – Best Dog and Best of Breed
2nd Derdledash Shining Star (Miss S A E Eldred) Sister to first, it was a tough decision between them both but she just need a little more time to settle for the class, Lovely harsh Black/Tan coat, a good size, lovely overall outline, Nicely angulated in the rear quarters.
Post Graduate Dog
1st Dollydash Never Enough (Miss E Tinker-Haldane’s) An honest wild boar hound, with good tracking drive, well developed with clean head, eye dark enough, excellent coat, compact proportions, well presented with good muscle tone. – Reserve Best Dog
Limit Dog
Dollydash Never Enough (Miss E Tinker-Haldane’s) - Same as above
Post Graduate Bitch
1st Derdledash Dakota at Dakotadax (Miss A Dickson), a slightly smaller female in the class, with feminine head & expression, good front & feet with a good spring of rib, compact, moved out well holding her top line.
2nd Tannahill Paris (Miss A Binks), probably did not show her best with her young handler but with time and practice they will get there together. Nice type of female, good overall shape, nice angulation in the front and rear, and move well.
Limit Bitch
1st Derdledash Dakota at Dakotadax (Miss A Dickson) – 1st in previous class above
Open Bitch
1st Tannahill Day Dreamer (Miss A Binks), Lovely presentenced female, nice course coat, good size and a pleasing head and expression, good pigment. Good shoulders and keel, with tight fitting elbows, good spring of rib, level top line leading to well-muscled hind quarters, and moved well. Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed
2nd Derdledash Dakota at Dakotadax (Miss A Dickson) – 1st in Post Graduate class
