Thank you for your support in both numbers and
quality throughout this entry. The wire haired Dachshund is no longer the
poor relation within the Dachshund world as proven at the highest level of
competition. Today in each and every class I had no problems in finding
exhibits to admire and award placings, some of which I’m sure will change
places as the season continues. On a footnote it was satisfying to see many
new faces competing, such is the welcoming community within the “Wire
World”.
MPD (4) 1 Coverley, Aventine the Poacher, 7
months with plenty to admire at this early stage. Correct balance in head
with a kind eye which gives off a pleasing expression with good dentition
all topped off with well placed ears. His neck flows into a clean front
assembly with plenty in rib. He stands on good bone with neat compact feet.
Coat texture is harsh. On the stack he gave off a pleasing profile just
needs to come together on the move. In time this will happen. A happy chap
displaying a good attitude whilst enjoying his day out. 2 Binks, Tannahill
Wild Day, six and a half months old. An up to size individual of good merit.
Head, eye and expression all good with correct dentition and pleasing in eye
and expression. Has plenty in neck with correct ribbing. Bone and feet good.
Moved out ok on the out and back and jacket was well presented. 3 Coss,
Kissdachs Genius Matrix.
PD (6,1) 1 Howlett, Phillips, Tendrow Malibar,
10 months. Has so much to admire all through. Appealing in head which
displays true balance. Excellent dentition, clear in eye which gives off a
pleasing expression all finished off with neat well placed ears. His neck
flows into a clean front assembly with sufficient in forechest. Plenty in
neck which flows into a well laid shoulder. His ribbing is extended well
back to a firm loin. Topline is level which leads to a correct croup and
tail set all finished with a well angulated rear. He stands on quality bone
with neat compact feet. Put his best foot forward on the out and back whilst
holding his profile on the go around. Presented in excellent coat condition
and handled expertly to gain maximum output. Very close up to the puppy
Bitch for BPIB. His day will come and should wear his crown! 2 Christie,
Christie, Cloudside Valentino at Decalleigh. Again plenty to admire about
this one. He scores in head, eye and expression. Plenty in neck, clean in
front assembly. Good in ribbing. Level in topline and he stands on good bone
with compact feet. Jacket was presented well; just needs to come together on
the move. In time, with more maturity, this will happen. 3 Pughe, Fraser,
Stanegate Stefan at Bystock, completing a trio of smart young males.
JD (3) 1 Seath, Sunsong Dare to Dream, 14
months. Plenty to admire about this chap. Pleasing in head which displays
correct proportions with strength in foreface. Excellent in dentition with a
clear eye which gives off such an appealing expression all finished off with
well placed ears. His neck flows into a correct front assembly with, at this
stage, has plenty in forechest. His ribbing is extended well back to a firm
loin. Keeps his topline at all times. He stands on quality bone with compact
feet. Moved out steadily on the out and back whilst holding his outline on
the go around. Coat was presented in good order. I know that this exhibit is
banging on the door to the upper house. Today the RCC and I’m confident your
‘dream’ will come! 2 Christie Christie, Cloudside Valentino at Decalleigh
(see Puppy Dog). 3 Clayton-Smith, Cairparavel Hartnell.
PGD (7) 1 Norman, Silvae State Secret, 19
months. Has lots to admire all through. He scores in head which displays
good balance with excellent dentition. Clear in eye which gives off a
pleasing expression. Good length in neck. His ribbing is extended well back
to a firm loin all finished off with a well angulated rear. His jacket was
well presented whilst going away he displays good rear drive but was a bit
loose in front on the return. However kept his profile on the go around. 2
Wharton, Szymon Majewski VH Ruwielse to Greyhayne (Imp Ned). Correct for
head qualities which display good balance with a clear eye which gives off a
pleasing expression. Plenty in neck. Bone and feet good. He is well ribbed
with the correct coat texture. However, he was carrying too much weight
which spoilt his overall appearance but did move out ok. 3 Russell,
Collidach Russell Leaves.
LD (8) 1 Adams, Ellesophia Fly Me to the Moon
JW. A well grown individual who is up to size but on inspection his head
displays correct balance with plenty in foreface with correct dentition.
Clear expressive eyes all topped off with well placed ears. His neck flows
into a clean front assembly with good fill in forechest. His topline is
solid which leads to a firm loin all finished off with a well angulated
rear. He displayed accurate footfalls on the out and back whilst holding a
pleasing profile on the go around and was presented in excellent jacket. His
day will come! 2 Moore, Dean, Upor Von Huberhorn with Diefior (Imp Rom).
Close up to the winner for good type. Masculine in head which displays good
balance. Dark in eye which gives off a pleasing expression. Excellent in
definition all topped off with well placed ears. He has plenty in neck which
flows into a clean front assembly. Ribbing is extended well back with a
solid topline. He stands on strong bone with neat feet. Moved out soundly
both ways and was close up to the winner. 3 McCalmont, McCalmont, Silvae Top
Secret.
OD (4,2) 1 Carruthers, Ch Aikton Alexander at
Stanegate. Mature individual of top draw quality all through. His head is to
die for. Such correct balance with strength in foreface. Excellent
dentition. Dark expressive eyes all topped off with neat well placed ears.
Neck is correct with good fill in forechest. His ribbing is carried well
back to a firm loin all finished off with a well angulated rear. He stands
on super bone with the best of feet. He is so correct for size; whilst on
the stack he is hard to ignore displaying correct overall body balance. On
the move he displays correct foot falls on the out and back whilst holding
his solid topline at all times. He was presented in stunning order.
Delighted to award him the CC today. 2 Maes-Jones, Derochaise Blue Danube.
So close up to the winner for overall correct type and size. Head, eye and
expression are all correct. Neck flows into a clean front assembly.
Excellent in ribbing. Topline is solid. Bone and feet correct. Another that
covered the ground with ease. Presented in good order. His day will come; no
disgrace here!
VD (3) 1 Norman, Ch Silvae Klansman, 8 years
old. Pleasing in head with dark eye with strength in foreface. Excellent in
neck with correct front assembly. He scores in neck. Topline and ribbing and
stands on correct bone with ok feet. Moved with purpose on the out and back
whilst holding his profile on the go around and was presented in good order.
BV. 2 Vig, Croat, Ch Q-Rrens-Dax Enzo Topazo (imp) eight and a half years
old. Completely different in type as to the winner. Head is balanced with
dark eye. Neck is sufficient. Ribbing is carried well back. Topline is
level. Bone and feet good. Moved out both ways soundly whilst coat texture
is harsh. Better presentation would be to his advantage. 3 Baldwin, Baldwin,
Aventine Scotts Bluff.
SBD (2) 1 Russell, Collidach Russell leaves.
Head has correct proportions with clear eye which gives off a pleasing
expression. Good length in neck. Ribbing is good, bone and feet correct.
Presented in harsh jacket. Won this class on movement. 2 Whittaker,
Kissdachs Freddie Mercury. Proportions throughout are ok but does need to
carry more body condition and needs to come together on the move. MPB (4,2)
1 Weston, Ellrich, Kissdachs Gorgeous Mirabella No One (Imp Hun) 6 months
with so much to admire all through. Feminine in head which has correct
balance with the most appealing eye and expression. Excellent in neck which
flows into a clean front assembly. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm
loin. Top line is level and leads to a well angulated rear all finished off
with strong parallel hocks. Coat is crisp and was well presented. She
displays accurate foot falls on the out and back whilst holding an eye
catching profile on the go around. With normal progress in development she
should do well! 2 Binks, E ut It Doarp Bonnie at Tanahill (Imp Nld). yet
another import who has plenty to admire. Head, eye and expression all good.
General body proportions are correct. Bone and feet good. Performed well,
presented in crisp jacket, just not as forward in maturity as the winner but
did move out ok on the out and back. Has time on her side to fulfil her
potential.
PB (10) Good class which is very promising for
the future. 1 Howe, Branmalodge Baby I’m Yours. Eye catching individual of
obvious merit. Feminine in head which displays correct balance with correct
dentition. Clear in eye which gives off a pleasing expression all topped off
with well placed ears. Excellent in neck and front assembly with parallel
forelegs. Her ribbing is carried well back to a firm loin and finished off
with a well angulated rear with short parallel hocks. She displays true
balance in outline on the stack and is sound on the out and back whilst
holding a pleasing profile on the go around. She was presented in excellent
order and handled sympathetically to gain maximum output. In the line up I
was mindful of her tender age but in my opinion she was well worthy of the
RCC then BPIB and delighted to hear she went on to claim Hound Puppy Group
2. I can’t see any reason why this exhibit will not wear her crown. This
exhibitor’s reaction in the breed ring is what it’s all about most
satisfying indeed. Good luck! 2 Carruthers, Stanegate Starcene. Another
quality exhibit to go over. She scores in head, eye and expression. Her neck
flows into a clean front assembly. Ribbing is good with level topline. Bone
and feet correct. On the stack she displays correct proportions and is
steady on the move. Again presented in good order. Will go on to catch the
eye. 3 Moore, Dean, Brontilion Canterbury Bell to Diefor completing a trio
of quality girls.
JB (5) 1 Ward, Nasiriahs Lavendar at Morlanow.
Plenty to admire about this one. Feminine in head which has correct balance.
Kind in eye. Correct dentition. Plenty in neck. Ribbing is carried well
back. Topline is level which leads to a well angulated rear. She stands on
correct bone with neat compact feet. Coat was well presented and she
displayed accurate footfalls on the out and back. BSB. 2 Seath, Sunsong
Hopes and Dreams. Again enough to admire about this one. Feminine in head.
Excellent dentition. Clear in eye which gives off a pleasing expression.
Ribbing is extended well back which leads to a well angulated rear. She
stands on quality bone with neat compact feet. She was sound on the out and
back but was rather loose in her underline. On the day not long off maternal
duties I suspect!
PGB (11) 1 McCalmont, McCalmont, Silvae Best
Kept Secret. Stand away winner of this class. Feminine head which displays
correct balance. Dark in eye with good dentition. Reachy in neck with enough
in forechest. Excellent in neck with a clean front assembly. Ribbing is

same remarks apply here. Head, eye and expression all good. Plenty in neck.
Level in topline and is well ribbed. Bone and feet correct. Another that
moved out with purpose on the out and back and was well presented. 3
North-Row, North-Row, Barmaud FC Betsy Ross, Recently admired this one and I
still do. Scores in most departments completing a trio of quality girls.
LB (9) Another good class! 1 Waller, Tendrow
Laced with Success. A well grown individual of merit. She scores in head
which displays correct balance. Dark expressive eyes. Excellent dentition
all topped off with well placed ears. Her neck flows into a clan front
assembly with a good fill in the forechest. Her ribbing is extended well
back to a firm loin. Topline is solid. Her rear is well angulated and she

Presented in good order. 2 Stockdale, Derochaise Blue Velvet at Fenwires. My
notes say close up to the winner. Head, eye and expression all good. Plenty
in neck. Ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin. Topline is level.
Bone and feet good. Moved out with purpose on the out and back and well
presented. 3 Coverley, Aventine Aunt Patience JW. Under her jacket is a well
constructed exhibit. At the moment you have to put your hands on her to find
out. Completing a trio of quality individuals!
OB (5) 1 Howlett, Phllips, Ch Tendrow Makes
the Right Turn JW. An eye-catching individual from out of the top draw. So
appealing in head which displays correct proportions. Plenty of strength in
foreface with excellent dentition. Clear in eye which are so expressive, all
finished off with neat well placed ears. Super arch in neck which flows into
a clean well laid shoulder. Forchest is well filled with parallel forelegs.
Her ribbing is extended well back to a firm loin. Topline and underline spot
on. Croup and tailset correct which leads to a well angulated rear all
finished off with strong parallel hocks. She stands on quality bone with the
best of feet. Her jacket was presented in A1 order. On the move she displays
excellent reach and drive on the out and back whilst holding such an
eye-catching profile on the go around. Handled with authority to gain
maximum output. Bitch CC and BoB. Glad to hear she made the short list in
the Group. Surely a major contender for great things! 2 McCalmont, McCalmont,
Silvae Trade Secret. Typical exhibit from this kennel. Has plenty to admire
all through. Correct in head which has good balance. Excellent dentition.
Clear in eye giving off a pleasing expression. Neck has length and flows
into a clean front assembly with good fill in forechest. Ribbing is carried
well back with solid topline which leads to a well angulated rear. She
stands on correct bone with compact feet. Whilst her footfalls on the out
and back are accurate I felt she would benefit for being reigned in a little
on the go around. Nevertheless as usual presentation was one hundred percent
and I’m sure she will continue to catch the eye. 3 North-Row, Martin, Ir Ch
Sail On Sailor to Full Circle. Quality exhibit with plenty to admire all
through and is sound on the move Completing a trio of pleasing exhibits. No
disgrace here!
VB (2,1) 1 Rowe, Booria’s Trick of Treat JW. 7
years old smart individual of good merit. Feminine in head which displays
correct balance. Dark in eye which gives off pleasing expression. Good arch
in neck with a well filled forechest. Ribbing is extended well back leading
to a well angulated rear. Jacket was well presented and she was sound on the
out and back whilst holding a pleasing profile on the go around. SBB (3) 1
Ward, Nasiriahs Lavender at Morganow (see Junior Bitch). 2 Sieminski,
Wyldetarn Genesis. Fair all through for breed type. Feminine throughout.
Moved out soundly both ways and was well presented.
