My thanks to my two very efficient stewards who kept the ring and exhibitors organised, appreciating that this was a very busy day of showing with the double shows.  Thanks alot to the exhibitors the majority off who presented thier dogs in excellent body, coat and muscle condition.  Sone of the exhibits I felt would benefit from more length in both upper arm and second thigh, and shortern rear pasterns.  These are assets I feel are essential to attain drive, extenstions and freedom of movement.  There were also a number lacking in the prominent forechest required in a dachshund.

Junior Dog (6,1)
1st:  PHILLIPS Tendrow Will to Succeed

Very handsome young man.  Lovely length and height balance.  Good head and eye with a masculine outlook and complimentary furnishings.  Strong neck and topline which he held at all times.  Good Ribbing carried well back and prominent forechest.  Well made throughout with excellent front and rear angulation which he used to advantage on the move covering the ground with freedom and drive.  CC and was delighted to be told afterwards that this was  his qualifying CC having won his others as a puppy.  Should have a bright future.

2nd: ELLRICH & WESTON Kissdachs Hamilton (Imp Hun)

Well balanced dog with a good head and expression.  Strong bone and ribbing with a good even topline.  Blanaced angulation front and rear.  Not the forechest of winner today.  Moved sound and true at all times maintaining his shape.

Elegant well balanced dog of good length and proportions.  Good head and eye.  Strong muscular neck, good ribbing and even topline which he held well on the move.  Well made front and quarters and a well presented good coat.  Moved well, sound and true , would just like to see a touch more extension which with his conformation I feel sure he is capable of.
