Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge today, I always thoroughly enjoying Wires and today was no exception. I was slightly disappointed when I saw the entry numbers but understand that there are many contributory factors, but I certainly wasn’t disappointed in the quality of dogs presented to me today. There were a couple of dogs that were slightly too low to ground which needs to be watched but generally a very high-class entry with many dogs who I consider are worthy of their Champion titles.

1. Ch Royal Pepper's Vice Versa (Imp Fin) (Mrs V Phillips) – This lovely dog was my RCC winner last time I judged this variety in 2022 and he has certainly made his mark siring some super youngsters and his grandchildren now also in the ring. Now 7yr old and in such good condition, super head and good length of neck, well laid shoulders, excellent ribbing, good rear. Moves so soundly from all angles. Correct ground clearance. Pushed hard in the challenge for the RCC. BVIB and delighted he went on to 4th in the Hound Veteran Group
2. Ch Silvae Klansman (Ms C A Norman) – 8yr old dog of a taller and longer type. Lovely head, long neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Could use a better length upper arm. A bit overdone behind for me but powers round the ring with true sound movement.

1. Tendrow Will to Succeed (Mrs V Phillips) – What a beautiful 11m dog, so balanced throughout, excellent head, lengthy neck leading into very well-made forequarters. Good ribbing and an excellent rear. Topped off with the harshest of coats. So sound on the move and really knows how to power around the ring. Loved him and despite his youth had no hesitation awarding him the CC today, his fourth I believe. BPIB
2. Incordemeo Shadow (Mrs M M Mountford) – 9m good head and neck leading into well angulated shoulders but could use more upper arm. Good ribbing. Excellent rear. Moves with reach and drive in profile, just needs to tighten behind a touch.
3. Atahira Finale (Mrs C Davies)
Junior Dog - Entries: 2 Absentees: 1
1. Tendrow Rubens Hagrid (Mrs V Phillips) – 14m red dog with a really super coat, excellent head, super length of neck, excellent shoulders, good length of ribbing, excellent rear. So sound on the move with plenty of reach and drive. Pushed really hard in the challenge, just would prefer a touch more ground clearance, maybe loosing a pound might help him.

1. Feldhund Moonlight JW (Mrs A J & Mr A Beagrie) – 17m balanced dog with an excellent coat, good head, well laid shoulders, would like more upper arm. A touch long in body for me. Good rear. Sound on the move with balanced reach and drive.
2. Lallybrook Royale Jester (Mrs M M Mountford) – Smart B/T with an excellent coat that is deceiving until you get your hands on it. Good head, lengthy neck, balanced front and rear angulation. Moved out soundly with balanced reach and drive in profile.
3. Knottsrose Olaf (Mrs L Sanders)

1. Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom JW (Miss R Rowe) – 19m balanced dog of a good size, good head and length of neck, well laid shoulders but would prefer slightly more upper arm. Good ribbing, excellent rear. Moved with good reach and drive in profile but a touch narrow going away at times.
2. Cloudside Vincent (Mr W Moore) – Taller 2y old dog with an excellent head and length of neck. Good shoulders, could use more upper arm. Excellent rear. Would prefer more width throughout. Moved soundly with good reach and drive.
3. Incordemeo Beetle About (Mrs M M Mountford)

1. Ch Tendrow Malibar JW (Miss R & Mrs V Howlett & Phillips) – This lovely boy is a real showman, 2yr old and schooled to perfection. Excellent head, very good angulation fore and aft, good ribbing. In excellent coat. Sound on the move with plenty of reach and drive. Shown in excellent coat and condition. Really smart dog who pushed hard, RCC
2. Silvae State Secret (Ms C A Norman) – Taler and rangier 4yr old dog who would benefit from some more confidence. Lovely head, excellent length of neck, moderately laid back shoulder, would prefer more upper arm. Balanced rear. Moved out with drive looking good in profile.
3. Boloria All Spice (Mrs C Akehurst)
Special Beginners - Entries: 3 Absentees: 2
1. Knottsrose Olaf (Mrs L Sanders) – Smart dog with an excellent head and length of neck, good layback of shoulder but would like a longer upper arm. Ribbing could extend further back. Balanced rear. Moved well with good ground clearance. Best Special Beginner

1. Tannahill Lovely Day (Miss A Binks) – Excellent sized puppy with a good head, a touch short in neck for preference, balanced angulation both front and rear. Good ribbing. Showing good reach and drive in profile, just needs to tighten up front and back.
2. Clipperdown Barbara Bach (Miss A & Mrs M Hepner Theodorou & Hepner Chapman) – 7m with a good head and length of neck. Balanced fore and aft angulation, good ribbing. Needs to tighten on move as you’d expect for age. Certainly letting everyone know what she thought of shows!

1. Boloria Oh Darling (Misses R & R Howlett & Rowe) – 14m balanced bitch with an excellent head, good length of neck leading into very well laid shoulders. Slightly short of upper arm. Good ribbing. Well angulated rear. Best mover in this class and stepped up a gear in the challenge to win the RCC
2. Incordemeo Remember Me (Mrs M M Mountford) – Excellent head and length of neck, good shoulders but short in upper arm and ribbing. Good ground clearance which I like. Balanced rear. Moved out well with good parallel action and balanced reach and drive in profile

2. Cairparavel Mary Quant (Mrs S J Clayton-Smith) – Good head and neck, good lay of shoulder but short in upper arm. Would prefer longer ribbing. Balanced rear. Moved soundly with some drive.

1. Tendrow Carolina Reaper (Mrs V Phillips) – Absolutely gorgeous 2yr old red bitch with the harshest of coats, going over her on the table she is a delight with everything in the right place and your hands just flowing over her, all I hoped was that she moved the way she was built and she certainly did. Impressive from all angles and that bit of cheekiness that turns them from a good show dog into one that truly catches the eye. Loved her and was very happy to award her the CC (her third) and BOB
2. Bystock Blue Orchid (H M & C Pughe & Fraser) – another lovely bitch with a beautiful head and length of neck, good shoulders but slightly shorter in upper arm than I prefer. Ok ribbing. Balanced rear angulation which she uses well on the move. Moves true coming and going with good drive from behind in profile. Close up for RCC
