It is an honour to be invited to judge this beautiful breed. I want to thank the Officers and Committee for inviting me, plus all the exhibitors for giving me this lovely entry. I was looking for the same free movement and poise in all classes, therefore, I may repeat myself in this critique. Exhibits were all in good condition and presented well. There were no bad mouths

Special Beginners (1)

1st:- Palmer’s Drakkina Dragons Eye. Stood alone, but a worthy winner. Moved nice and steady, and with ease. Handsome head and expression. Correct front. Very happy dog

Minor Puppy (1)

1st:- Stockdale’s Fenwires Regulus. Just 6 month puppy who enjoyed his day out. Had a nice ‘bounce’ on moving while taking it all in his stride and stepping out well. A little loose at the rear, but such a baby so that should improve with age. His handler may need a bit more confidence with this lovely puppy. + BPD

Puppy (1)

1st:- Osbourne’s Cloudside Xander Around Braego. Really stepped out well with free and steady movement. Also needs a bit of strength at rear which will come with age. Another well worthy winner.

Junior (1)

1st:- Palmer’s Drakkina Dragons Eye. As first in Special Beginner

Post Graduate (4)

Not an easy class to judge as all quite different types.

1st:- Akehurst’s Tendrow Down To The Wire at Bramdach JW. This one moved a lot stronger with free flowing movement to win the class.

2nd:- Adams’s Serengarth Bear With Me JW. Really lovely Masculine head and expression. Didn’t quite get his act together with his handler today. I am sure these 2 could change places another day.

3rd:- Wills’s Kasalane Pietersite

Limit (8)

Again another difficult class where these all could win another day.

1st:- Beagrie’s Feldhund Moonlight JW. Moved very well and a lovely overall shape and outline.

Handsome and Masculine with a beautiful expression .

2nd:-Russell’s Collidach Russell Leeves. Could have swapped places different day. Moved nicely, but not quite as strong in rear. Loved the expression he had. A bit lower to the ground and would have preferred more space underneath. Still a very handsome dog

3rd:- Matthews’s Sonham Fire Cracker.

Open (5) A really great class

1st:- McCalmont’s Covellyn’s Cecil At Silvae (Imp Che) Very smart dog. Moved with ease and was an obvious winner for me. Lovely overall shape. Well ribbed, correct prominent breast bone. Kept his good topline at all times. In top condition. + DCC

2nd:- Rowe’s Ch Boloria Goodnight Mr Tom JW. Another beautiful specimen and a close call. Nice length and undercarriage. Handled so well to get the best of him. Moved excellent, but unlucky all the same to be in 2nd place + RDCC

Veteran (4)

1st:- Robinson & Howlett’s Skyswift Tennessee Honey. Another very smart dog from this kennel. He certainly drove out with ease to move so well. + BV & VG4

2nd:- Smith’s Fleur Salixian Eau Rouge. Not so good in length to lose overall outline. Lovely masculine head and expression.

3rd:- Adams’ Ch Wyldetarn Shoot From The Hip JW

Special Beginners (3)

1st:- Hunt’s Drakkina’s Gift of Dragon’s. This pretty girl took my eye straight away. Handler worked perfect with her to get the very best of her at all times. I would like to see her out of the SB class. + BSB & later delighted to see she later won the SB group

2nd:- Buxton’s Hazelglade Harriet. How nice to see some promising girls coming through from SB. Also a beautiful little girl and a close call. Just didn’t quite move as well today, but overall really liked her.

3rd:- Hudsonlund’s Hototo’s Cool Customer

Minor Puppy (1)

1st:- Eyre-Brook’s Gentlegorse Dare To Believe. Stood alone, but well worth the class. Very pretty and feminine baby. Showed such a lot of promise. Moved well and freely.

Puppy (2) A lovely Class

1st:- Buxton’s Cloudside Xena of Mereblake. Very pretty girl showing so much promise. Handled very well to get the very best from her. Lovely overall outline with good length, undercarriage. Look forward to following her future. + BPB & BPIB

2nd:- Rowe’s Cloudside Xamira With Boloria. Another lovely good example of the breed. Correct movement especially in rear. A good future with her handler

Junior (4)

1st:- Hunt’s Drakkina’s Gift Of Dragon’s. As first in Special Beginner

2nd:- Jones’s Something Audacious Among Clanwillow. 15 month with plenty of time to flourish. Nice overall with good movement, but just not quite as free in movement and with a bit less enthusiasm.

3rd:- Howe’s Tatze Phantom Menace With Bramalodge.

Post Grad (9)

1st :- Hepner Theodorou & Hepner-Chapman’s Clipperdown Vivien Leigh. Well what a star. Arrived late and only just made the class, luckily. Very well behaved and took it all in her stride. I loved her attitude. Couldn’t really fault her as she moved so well around the ring with her flowing movement. I am not surprised she was so happy after seeing her owner’s reaction to winning the class. I was delighted to award her the RBCC but wasn’t sure her handler would be able to cope with the emotion! It was pure joy to watch. This is what showing, and winning, should be about. Well done. I hope they carry on their winning ways.

2nd:- Ward’s Tendrow Tilly Toke With Morlanow. Another lightly coloured lovely girl who really was very pretty and feminine. Movement was excellent to see. Overall looked a proper picture of elegance.

3rd:- Lowe’s Nasiriyah’s Bye Bye Baby.

Limit (8)

1st :- Mountford’s Incordemeo Remember Me. Very smart with a really lovely overall look about her. She moved around the ring with style and grace to win the class. Good length/height proportions as expected of the breed. Kept her correct topline at all times. A delight to watch.

2nd :- Beagrie’s Feldhund Show The Way JW. Unlucky to meet winner, Lovely overall shape, length and had a pretty and feminine expression. Looked well standing and in profile while moving.

3rd :- Paterson’s Brumberhill Biscuit to Ambiesque.

Open (4) A really lovely class of 4 quality girls.

1st:- Howlett & Rowe’s Ch Boloria Oh Darling JW. I expect these can easily change positions another day. Movement was sound and steady. Very typical and correct in body and outline. Enjoyed her day out and was very happy. Well handled. + BCC & BOB

2nd:- McCalmont’s Ch Silvae Fan The Flames. Unlucky to come against my winner. Very good mover and showed well at all times.

3rd :- McPherson & Paterson’s Brumberhill Barbed Wire.

Veteran (2)

1st :- Rowe’s Ch Boloria’s Trick Or Treat JW, VW . I am sure this one knows her way around the show rings very well. Handled perfectly to get the very best from her. Excellent proportions. Good topline, moved with plenty of drive and was definitely ‘on a mission’

2nd:- Clayton-Smith’s Cairparavel’s Kiss From A Rose JW. Lovely girl with everything needed to take the class. Did everything right, but not enough to beat my winner.
