I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for their kind invitation to judge at their show, it was both an honour and a privilege.
I was mindful of the height to length ratio and good ground clearance, all exhibits in my opinion would be able to do a day’s work if required. My day was made more memorable by a superb entry full of quality, and a very good representation of the breed all excelling in breed type, with good dentition, all were dark wild boar in colour with the exception of three, all had free flowing movement and good harsh coats. This made some of my decisions very close. I was so pleased with my principal winners, all of whom excel in quality and ooze breed type. My sincere thanks to all of the exhibitors who entered under me for a day I will remember.
Finally, grateful thanks to my very adept steward Janice Cumberland for keeping everything running so smoothly on the day.

1st Phillips Tendrow Amazing Grace
Just a few days short of 6 months, and so much to like. Her headpiece is well shaped, feminine, has a good shape to her eye of correct colour well set ears. Lovely harshness to her coat. Good length and ample arch to her neck her shoulders are well placed with good front assembly. Well-developed keel fitting into her crook and a super length to her sternum bone and ribbing extends well back. Strong level topline held on the move. Rear end muscled and used to advantage weight carried evenly on nice feet. Moves out well and covers the ground with ease. BBPIP
2nd Phillips Tendrow Story of Success
Litter sister to 1 and has so many of the same attributes, just a little smaller cast, but like her sister has everything in the right place quality, breed type and balance. Movement clean out and back covers the ground with enthusiasm. Hard decision. I’m sure these two little characters have a bright future.

Red, handsome young chap just short of 8 months. Lovely in profile, well bodied and maturing nicely with super headpiece, his eyes are of good shape and colour, ears are well set. Lovely harshness to his coat. His neck has length and slight arch, fitting into well laid shoulders and clean correct front assembly. His forechest is well developed and sits neatly in crook. Elbows sit nicely against well sprung ribbing and sternum bone has good length. His topline is firm and held on the move, rear quarters are muscled and well defined. Another well proportion youngster his profile is balanced without exaggeration. Lovely coat. Good shape to head, correct eye shape and colour, ears nicely set. Neck of ample length with well laid shoulders, pronounced forechest sits neatly into his crook, Correct front assembly with good length of rib, elbows fitting neatly. Strong topline level with correct tail carriage. Moves well, sound and clean out and back with good feet.

Good balanced outline, nice head, dark eye of good shape, ears well placed good length of neck, shoulders well laid, nicely developed prosternum sits into his crook. Ribs sprung and carried well back elbows fit nicely. Topline strong, level with good length and correct tail set. Quarters are firm and developed which propels him forward with drive, his movement is even in front with good reach. Lovely tight feet, stands four squares and has a super coat.

Stood alone, but worthy of his place. Scores in profile and balance, Correct headpiece with strong jaw, dark eye of correct shape, ears set on well. Neck muscled and clean sweeps into well laid shoulder with good angulation front and back. Forechest well developed and sitting into his crook. Elbows fit neatly against ribbing which is carried back. Topline of good length, quarters full and used to advantage both out and back. Nicely bunched feet and harsh coat

One I have had the privilege of judging before and thought highly of! He is full of quality and well-proportioned with a lovely profile showing both balance and breed type, and a super harsh coat. Lovely to go over, nothing to fault and masculine throughout! Good head, expression and eye shape, correct ear set and dentition. Neck of good length with a strong arch. Shoulders well laid, nicely angulated with a pronounced keel, which fills his crook has a good length of sternum bone. Topline strong and level kept on the move, rear quarters well-muscled and fully developed. Tail set on well with correct carriage. Movement parallel, sound and full of purpose going out and coming back, showing good reach and drive. Standing square on super-tight feet. RCC

Red, so balanced with good proportions. Pleasing head qualities, good shape and strong jaw. Eye colour and shape good, ears set on well. Neck of good length and muscled flows into clean shoulders with a pronounced forechest that fills his crook, sternum bone reaches back giving correct length to his ribbing, elbows fitting nicely. Topline strong level and held on the move. Good front and rear angulation allowing free movement out and back with nice feet and correct coat.

This chap just took my eye when he walked into the ring he filled it with his presence; he oozes quality and so hard to fault. Well-proportioned outline showing both balance and breed type, and a beautiful harsh coat and is masculine throughout! Good head shape, with a nice deep lip, and strong jaw, lovely dark eye of correct shape, exact ear set and dentition. Strong neck with good reach, blending seamlessly into well laid shoulders, has a super front assembly with a well-developed prosternum, filling his crook, his sternum bone is long giving him a super length to his ribbing and his elbows fit closely. Topline strong and level kept on the move and complimented by his underline, his rear quarters are well-muscled and fully developed with a lovely bend of stifle which he uses to full advantage. Tail set on well with correct carriage. Movement efficient and parallel going out and back, showing both reach and drive, covers the ground effortlessly, standing square and weight borne evenly on super-knuckled up feet. DCC & BOB

Another handsome dog with many of the same attributes as 1, and so much to like about him. Well balanced and full of quality, masculine head with correct proportions and strong jaw and depth to his lip, darkest of eyes and well-shaped. Ears are well set. Muscled reachy neck flows into well angulated forequarters with well-fitting elbows, Pronounced keel sits well in his crook. Super length to his ribbing. His rear quarters are well muscled with a good tail set and carried correctly. Feet are tightly bunched and he too has effortless parallel movement with good reach and driving from behind.

Just 7 years old but hard to believe he’s a veteran, moves like a much younger dog. Classic head and strong jaw line. Darkest eyes of correct shape. Has good ear placement. Has a strong neck of good length leading into well placed shoulders with a good forechest fitting neatly into crook. Sternum bone reaches well back giving a good length to his ribs, his elbows sit well against his ribbing with a strong level topline. He has good angulated fore and aft with strong rear quarters which propels him forward correctly with good reach and drive, covering the ground soundly and economically on well knuckled feet. BVIB

1st Maddox Wyldetarn Genesis
Nearly 31/2 years, feminine throughout lovely head qualities eye of good colour and shape, nice ear set neck lengthy and well-muscled. Front construction correct with good forechest fitting well into her crook. Ribbing extends well back with firm topline, neatly fitting elbows. Her rear quarters are nicely developed, and she uses them to advantage on the move. Clean, sound movement out and back, with nice feet. She was handled very competently by her young handler, together they presented a lovely overall picture, so pleased to see them win in the big. BSBIB & BSBIS

Another with so much to like, scores in head qualities with lovely expression and correct eye and colour. Ample neck, shoulders well laid with good elbows. Correct angulation fore and aft with strong ribbing carried well back, nice rear quarters and angulation, movement sound out and back with good feet, just preferred the topline of 1.

This is a classic youngster in her last puppy class. With so much to like balanced in profile, well bodied and feminine. Good headpiece with darkest of eyes and well-shaped, ears are correct. Beautiful harsh coat. Strong lengthy neck correct shoulders and forequarters pronounced forechest fits her crook and tight elbows. Sternum bone long giving length to ribbing with good spring. Topline level. Rear quarters full and well-muscled, tail carried correctly, her movement is sound, even and parallel away and back covers with ground easily showing both reach and drive. Lovely knuckled up feet carrying her weight evenly. BPB & BPIB

Pleasing head and expression, eyes of good colour and shape. Ears well set on. Neck of good length slips into a well-made front assembly with well fitting elbows. Forechest full and fill s her crook. Ample ribbing extends back topline not as settled as 1. Nicely angled rear quarters which compliment her forequarters. Her movement is clean and parallel out and back, good feet.

Caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring, and daughter of my veteran. Well made with a lovely balanced outline, classic feminine head. Eyes of correct shape and colour, ears nicely set. Strong neck leads to a well-angulated front assembly, which fits easily into her crook. Ribs long and well sprung, her elbows sit correctly alongside. Strong level topline and firmly muscled rear quarters propel her forward with ease. She has well knuckled feet. Her movement is clean parallel and effective out and back covering the ground with ease. RCC

Slightly smaller cast than 1, but much to like. She has a balanced clean outline, with a classic shape to her head with a feminine expression. Eye colour dark and of a correct shape. Nicely placed ears, plenty of reach and muscle to her neck. Shoulders are well laid with good angulation front and rear. Her prosternum is well developed and sits correctly into her crook, with ample length to her sternum bone, giving good length to her ribbing and a strong topline. Rear quarters well defined and used to advantage on the move. Showing both reach and drive with lovely feet and a harsh coat.

Just over 1-1/2 years with good head qualities and expression her eye shape and colour is good, ears placed neatly. Strong, lengthy neck with well-placed shoulders, though I would prefer a little more forechest. Sternum is lengthy, good ribbing, elbows and topline which she holds on the move. Good depth of body and rear angulation. She strides out covering the ground with well knuckled feet and nice jacket.
2nd Mackensie’s Sweetihoundz Wee Sleekit
Another pleasing youngster of just 15 months, pleasing headpiece, feminine expression with dark eye of good shape. Ears set justa little low for me. Nice length of neck with good shoulders, just lacks a little iin sternum for me. Neatly placed elbows with good ribbing and topline. Rear angulation drives her forward with purpose well knuckled feet. Has nice harsh coat
Post Graduate Bitch (5 – 1abs)
1st Buxton’s Hazelglade Harriet
Another nicely proportioned without exaggeration, nice feminine head piece, dark correct shaped eye, ears well placed, a good length of neck which flowing into her well placed shoulder, she has a good keel sitting into her crook and length to sternum bone. Elbows close, ribbing carried well back well angulated hind quarters, level topline. Good tail set standing on good feet and her movement is clean and sound out and back. Super coat
2nd Clayton Smith’s Cairparavel Mary Quant
Slightly smaller in frame but has many of the same traits as 1, lovely coat, well-made and balanced throughout good shape to her headpiece with good eye colour, expression and shape. Ears well set on. Strong lengthy neck with well laid shoulder fore and aft angulation good, with prominent sternum filling her crook. Elbows well placed with good ribbing and top line. Movement strong and even both away and back.

Topline level and kept on the move, rear muscled up with good angulation used to great effect. She’s even fore and aft moving correctly with good reach and driving from behind, has well-constructed feet with a super harsh coat.
2nd Lucas’ Boloria Wild and Naughty.
This is a super little bitch with so much to like about her. Scores in head qualities, she has good eye shape and colour her ears are well set. Lovely strong neck sweeps into well laid shoulders and good front assembly, elbows sit nicely against ribbing which reaches well back, pronounced sternum bone of good length which fills her crook. Her topline is strong and held on the move. Rear quarters are well muscled and used to advantage. Sadly, she was a little exuberant today and found it difficult to settle for her handler but once she does, I’m sure she’ll trouble the best. Very close decision

Just like my open dog winner, she filled my eye when she walked into the ring and she didn’t disappoint when I got my hands on her and like my best dog very hard to fault! She has a fabulous harsh coat and is so balanced in profile, with everything in proportion. Beautiful head qualities with a super feminine expression, darkest of eye and correct shape, super ear set and strong jaw. Her neck is reachy, flowing seamlessly into shoulders that are well laid with an excellent prosternum which fills her crook nicely. She has a super length to her sternum bone; elbows fit neatly against ribbing which is carried well back giving her a super topline, which is held on the move complemented by a strong underline. Good tail set and carriage. Correct angulation fore and aft makes her movement free, effortless and parallel. She carries her weight evenly on well knuckled feet. She covers the ground effectively out and back. BCC & BOS

Lovely well knuckled feet she covers the ground with ease.

Nicely made, just over 7 years, with good bone throughout with balanced outline. Pleasing headpiece, feminine expression, dark eye of good shape, ears well set on. Ample length to neck, her front assembly is good with developed forechest filling her crook, topline firm and held on the move, elbows fit well against well sprung ribs, carried back. Quarters are well muscled and full. Her movement is fluid and true out and back with knuckled up feet.
2nd Clayton-Smith’s Cairparavel Kiss from a Rose JW.
A month younger than 1. Sadly, she wasn’t happy today which I put down to the excessive heat, took me two attempts to get my hands on her, but when I did she’s nicely put together, balanced profile and slightly more compact. Pleasing head and expression nice eye colour and shape, ears well set. She has a well-made body with good ribbing and angulation fore and aft, moved well.
