DACHSHUND OF THE YEAR 2005

QUALIFICATIONS

 
Dachshund of the Year

The Top two Males and Top two Females in each variety are invited to compete for the title of Dachshund of the Year.

A point System is used to work out the leaders where a Challenge Certificate is worth 10 Points, A reserve Challenge Certificate is worth 5 Points and a Best of Breed is worth 5 Points.

In a event of a tie Best in Show/Reserve Best in Show at Breed Club Championship Shows are taken into account and then any Group Wins or Placings at General Championship Shows.

If the actual qualifiers are not able to attend for whatever reason the next placed dog or bitch will be invited to ensure even numbers of each variety.

 

 

Dachshund Puppy of the Year

The Top two Puppies in each variety irrespective of sex are invited to compete for the title of Dachshund Puppy of the Year.

The leaders are worked out by counting the number of Best Puppy in Breed awards each dog has obtained when Challenge Certificates were on offer for the breed.

In a event of a tie Best Puppy in Show/Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Breed Club Championship Shows and Best Puppy of Sex Awards are counted.  If there is still a tie then any Challenge Certificates or Reserve Challenge Certificates won by the dog when still a puppy will be taken into account.

Dachshund Veteran of the Year

In addition to all the Best Veteran in Breed winners from the Dachshund Club Championship Show, we invite all Best Veteran in Show winners from all Dachshund Breed Club Championship Shows.
