Merit was an award which could be gained from the age of 6 months, It required you gaining
25 points in total from
open shows winning Best of Breeds and Group Placings in order to receive the title. Once achieved, the title ShCM
could be used at the end of the dog's name.
The Show Certificate of Excellence
now replaces the Show Certificate of Merit,
